Zuperlative had a super run in his second BE100, a very smart dressage, one rather annoying pole and a very easy clear XC to finish 9th. Very much ready to step up to Novice next time out.

He’s a new ride this season and could shortly be looking for a new 🏠. If we could get a couple more owners in on him however, it would be great to keep him in the yard!

Vivendi Cruise had another absolute stormer of a run in the Intermediate, adding minimal time faults to his dressage score at Aston to take the WIN 🥇 These top results have been a long time coming for Tigger but I am as delighted for his owner, Helene Braeckman who has been one of my biggest supporters and mentor right from the beginning.

Cooley With Ambition also had another solid run. He’s finding it all very easy nowadays and there’s some exciting plans lined up for him!

Wanted - Groom for professional Event/Livery yard on the Herts/Essex border.

A exciting opportunity has arisen for a new member of the team working with a talented team of horses from 3yo - Advanced Event horses with everything in between!
We are looking for someone to work 5 mornings per week Mon - Fri, a couple of afternoon/evenings and approx 1 weekend per month although more hours could be available with some potential to travel to and groom at events.
The ideal candidate should be capable of handling fit competition horses, ensure attention to detail in all aspects of their work including being able to turn horses out to a high standard aswell as being punctual, reliable and able to work as part of a team with the ability to take sole charge on occasions. A sense of humour is a total necessity!

Possibility of some riding for the right person and the opportunity to supplement your wages clipping/plaiting etc for the liveries.

For the right candidate this job could also offer accommodation and the opportunity to bring their own competition horse with plenty of training on site and help with transport.

Must have a full driving license.
HGV would be great but not essential.
Small well behaved dogs considered!

Wage is dependent on experience.
To start mid July however willing to wait for the right person.

A rather hectic re route to Tweseldown yesterday after Rockinghams cancellation but it was well worth it with the 3 big boys in the Intermediate.

The Ambition Syndicates ‘Cooley With Ambition’ was his normal perfect self finishing up 7th jumping yet another double clear.

Helene Braeckmans ‘Vivendi Cruise’ 📸 was back in business having his first run since Poplar due to the bad weather and jumped an easy double clear. Massive thanks to for helping him feel his best again.

Judy Savages ‘Maybe This Time’ was back to old ways feeling as good as ever, an unfortunate pole but towed me round the XC.

Super proud of these guys and my team of helpers. Including and .eventingx who helped with some stand in exercising of the boys during a manic week!

Pole work is one of my most prescribed exercises to clients for their horses.
It can be performed in hand or ridden and in all three paces, so no matter where your horse is in their education and work plan there’s a variation to suit!

Some of the benefits include:

We’ve been working on increasing Dash’s core strength, so ensuring his back and neck muscles are supple and free of any tension is a major role in helping him engage his core and work through from behind; which in turn will help him work into a more consistent contact.

He is running in a BE intermediate next week aa preparation for his spring International.
