🌷 S P R I N G E Q U I N O X 2 0 2 6 🌱

Our journey begins here. The beginning of a new cycle. The true start of the year 🩷

I love holding these seasonal events in Manuden Village Community Centre. This is my 2nd Spring Equinox event here & I'm so happy to say that there were 23 booked on, 21 in 2025 🙏🏻

👃 We started with Nadi Shodhana pranayama (alternate nostril breath) to begin to calm the nervous system & purify the energy channels.

✨Using the first of our DoTerra oils, Wild Orange for manifestation, we wrote down our intentions for the year ahead.

🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️ A physical practice followed, focused on initial grounding, awakening & heart opening. There were quite a few who had never practiced Yoga before, which I love!!

⚡️ This all leads to a short visualisation Yoga Nidra (voice led meditation) & the Sound Healing Gong Bath......magic....with use of our 2nd DoTerra oil, Lemon for clarity & purification.

🍪 Finishing with Whittard Instant Tea (Lychee & Rose & Turkish Apple) & Bliss Balls...Lemon & Coconut or Blueberry in cacao.

🍋 Everyone left with a homemade gift. A rollerball with lemon oil, with dried rose & camomile petals, to use whenever you need a natural lift.

🙏🏻✨ Thank you so so much to everyone who came last night, I'm so grateful ☺️ A mixture of repeat 'Gong Bathers', first timers with me & some 'sound virgins!'

& not forgetting my Timmy, .danbury , the backstage to my front of house. Quietly helping & sorting in the background while I get distracted & chat!! I genuinely couldn't do it without him 🥰

• Dress comfortably for the Yoga practice & for the Sound Healing Gong Bath. Light layers are good

• Mat, pillow, blanket & something to put over your eyes

• A bottle of water

We've finished a beautiful fortnight focusing on the earth, the roots from which everything grows & how that manifests & presents itself in our bodies, physically & energetically ✨

The Root chakra, or the Muladhara chakra as we call it in Yoga is the first & most important, as it forms the base from which all the other chakras will develop.

Our psychological & emotional home. Our journey begins here. We all start as tiny seeds ❤️

I often read out affirmations during a practice, generally at the start & the end. I ask my students to notice if any land & feel more personal to them & it's not unusual for them to take more shape at the end, after a physical practice of asana to get the energy/prana flowing ✨

Yoga isn't about it looks, it's how it feels ❤️

It's so much more than 'poses'!! If that's all I was doing, teaching & talking about, like an exercise class, I'd be so bored!

Luckily for me, it's so vast that I take comfort in the fact that I'll never know everything & will forever be a student 🎓 How amazing is that?!

▪️Bala Parsva Bhuja Dandasana / Baby Grasshopper Pose▪️

I never used to like arm balances but in the past 9-12 months, I've really started to enjoy them!!
Physically, it's strengthening the core, arms, shoulders while deeply opening the hips.

Mentally, I love the focus, the balance, the proprioception, your bodies ability to sense its location in space.

The one constant we can rely on is that things, life, always changes. How we move & adapt to those changes will determine our contentment 🤍

I'm now practising Grasshopper Pose / Parsva Bhuja Dandasana. Physically I'm not there yet but that's the magic of this 'practice', we're always learning, it's so vast!

It's the spirituality, philosophy & history of Yoga that really ignites me ✨ But at 44 this year & feeling liberated & strong, it feels good to have so much strength & control...as much as I can with my peri menopausal brain! 🥴🤯😁

We've been working on this pose for a couple of weeks in my Tuesday evening 'Power' classes. Firstly coming up from the ground, now lowering into it. It's always so interesting to see what suits different bodies, different people.

Come along!! I have such a lovely community who all cheer each other on & have a laugh when we fall!

Not only a Full Moon, but a total Lunar Eclipse!!

Not seen in the UK unfortunately 🙁 Yet the effects are still just as powerful ⚡️

♍️ This 'action plan' Moon in the earthy sign of Virgo comes along just a few weeks before the 'Spring Equinox' - the true start of the year. Helping us to move forward with grounded dreams, from a solid & grounded place 💚

🖊️ I suggest journal prompts during my Sound Baths to follow up with when my attendees go home....relaxed, reset & with an open heart.

• One of them was to be practical about what you can change. Virgo has no time for self pity. Try asking 'what could I do right now to change this situation?' Using the energy of this extremely grounded Earth sign to sort through your life with order.
