Day 5 - Jonty Gentoo
On day five of world book week, our messy room transformed into the south pole where Jonty Gentoo and his live. The preschoolers enjoyed the wintery land in the morning, sliding penguins around and creating some ice paintings. This afternoon, the children learnt all about the lifecycle of a penguin and drew images to represent each stage.

World Book Day 📚
Today the preschoolers focused their morning on the Mr Men books, reading through some stories with Mr Bump. Mr Messy created a big mess so the children practice their cutting skills. The children had fun drawing their own Mr Men, copying the adults costumes and comparing them to the pictures.
In the afternoon, the children chose to do Super Worm. They created their own worms with the playdough then measured then against the scale to see who's was the longest.

Day 3 - Veg Patch Party 🥕🥦
On day three of world book week the preschoolers themed it around one of their favourites, Veg Patch Party. They first did some vegetable painting and used the potato's to create their won potato head people. Then during circle time, the children had a dance party to Cauliflowers Fluffy with the vegetables. Then they enjoyed some veg cutting too.

Day 2 - Rumble In The Jungle 🦧🐍🐘
On day two of celebrating world book week was themed around Rumbke In The Jungle. The children enjoyed a natural jungle as well as drawing based on the animals in the book. Then during circle time, the children did some animal yoga. This afternoon, they learn all about animal prints and painted this on their page practicing some writing too.

On day one of world book week, the preschoolers chose the You Choose book. In the garden, there was lots of activities to chose from, taken ideas from the fun page. They explored the garden using binoculars, enjoyed games of football, played bat and got artistic painting our walls.

This afternoon, our messy play room transformed into the deep blue sea. The children loved observing the waves on the wall created by our new light and using the blue rice during sensory play. They also created prints in the playdough using different sized shells. Some of the children also chose to do some drawing using out ocean creatures book for references.

The preschoolers have been on a walk around the local area to see the different colours they can find. They pointed out the different coloured cars and flowers and were very excited to see the ambulance too🚑.
