Monster Lava Lamps🌋

The preschoolers have been experimenting with mixing different elements together to create a reaction🌋 They followed the instructions to scoop the bicarbonate of soda into their jars, then poured in oil. They then selected a colour to mix with vinegar and poured it it, then watched the reaction of the ingredients mixing together🌋

This morning our children explored dinosaur themed play whereby they loved using their dinosaurs toys to create a footprint effect on their pages, practicing their fine motor skills to create the right patterns.
They expanded this craft activity by exploring the messy table which had a foamy, miniature dinosaurs land for the children to great their own imaginative scenarios.

This morning, our roleplay room transformed into the Gruffalo's Cave, where the children made lots of gruffalo crumble using the real food and resources. The children also identified the other meals mentioned dint he story and used the recipes to recreate this including Owl Ice-Cream and Scrambled Snake. They loved using their imagination to recreate the story in their own way.🦉🐍🦊
