FLU & COVID VACCINATION CLINICS
It's that time of year again, our flu and covid vaccine clinics are open for booking for all of our eligible patients.

Flu eligibility:
From 1 September 2025:
Pregnant women
All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025

From 1st October 2025:
Those aged 65 years and over
Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
Those in long-stay residential care homes
Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main Carer of an elderly or disabled person
Close contacts of immunocompromised individual

Covid eligibility from 1st October 2025:
Residents in a care home for older adults
All adults aged 75 years and over

Our usual Saturday clinics will be held this year on Saturday 11th October.

BLOOD TEST RESULTS DISRUPTION

Nottingham West GP Practices use Nottinghamshire University Hospitals (NUH) pathology services to complete our blood tests. Once we have taken bloods, they are sent to NUH who analyse the blood for us and send us the results.

NUH recently needed to upgrade their pathology system. Unfortunately, the change has led to severe disruption and hugely increased workload for GP practices.

Managing this work safely is having an impact on the capacity that we can provide for patients care and is affecting all GP practices in the area.

We are all working hard to get NUH to resolve these issues urgently. Please bear with us if results and services are slower than usual.

*THE LINDEN MEDICAL GROUP - NEW TELEPHONE SYSTEM*
Our long awaited, new telephone system is, finally, going live on Thursday 8th May.
Changing a phone system in a GP practice is a huge thing and, as with all new systems, we expect some teething problems, therefore we would, kindly, ask for your patience on go live day, and for a few days afterwards, whilst all of the staff get used to the new system and any niggles with the system are ironed out.
Once we are all up to speed in the use of the new system we hope that you, as patients, will see a real benefit.
