We are proud to be the beneficiaries of Hitchin 10k and the children's run - the Lister Neonatal Golden Mile! 🥳⭐

Funds raised from the Golden Mile will go our neonatal unit's Love and Hugs appeal to fund special 'cuddle chairs and blankets' to support our littlest patients 💙

We are also offering FREE spaces and a running vest to any 10k runners who pledge to raise a minimum of £100 for our neonatal unit 💙

We have raised an incredible £3,000 so far for our Magic of Art Appeal, but we still need another £6,000 to reach our target to fund four beautiful new murals for our children's emergency department 🖌🎨

Visiting hospital can be a daunting experience for many children so these murals will transform areas to make them as calm and welcoming as possible.

Ann has been a volunteer for our wonderful Butterfly Service for over three years, and in honour of the service's 10th anniversary, Ann is bravely taking on the Fire Walk to raise funds for them 🦋

The Butterfly Service does amazing work supporting patients who are at the end of life, and their families going through that very difficult time 💜

Working closely with carers, community partners and voluntary organisations, the service ensures carers in our hospitals are recognised, included and supported 💙

This , join us and help make things a little easier for patients going through cancer treatment 💙

We fund projects that include:

💙 Scalp cooling caps that reduce the likelihood of hair loss
💙 Reclining chairs for long chemotherapy sessions
💙 Complementary therapies such as massage and acupuncture to help patients deal with the physical and emotional impact of their treatment
💙 who give support and practical advice to patients experiencing hair loss
💙 Improvements to the inside and outside spaces so patients are in nice, welcoming surroundings

We are always trying to make the experience as good as it can be for patients. We're looking forward to seeing Richard Herring in the Bake Off tent🍰🎪

Richard ran the Hertfordshire Half Marathon and raised more than £30k for us back in 2021, just nine months after his cancer surgery, to thank Lister Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre for their care 💙
