Active is Richard's middle name at the moment, if he isn't at the boxing gym weight lifting and practicing his moves he is at the hydro pool learning to swim. With the support of his Lead Support Worker Fiona and Support Worker Neil, Richard is embracing activity and learning new skills. Well done Richard, you are an inspiration. 🏊‍♂️🥊

David, with great support from Fabio, made the most of the beautiful weather with a visit to his allotment, planting tomatoes, lemons, strawberries and beets. After a busy morning of digging and planting, they treated themselves to a healthy lunch outdoors at a lovely café in Baldock.

Well done to both of you, a well‑earned lunch after all that hard work in Active April! 🌱☀️🥗

Sam and Support Worker Juliet had a great few days together over the bank holiday weekend. Starting on Friday with trip to the local George and Dragon Pub to listen to some live music and enjoy a drink. Saturday saw them taking a trip to the Bucks Museum in Aylesbury to have a wander and look at all the displays.

The sun was out, and Alex and Rory were keen to get out and about too. So, with April being our month to start getting active, support workers Ali and Danny accompanied them to Stevenage Fairlands Lakes for a long walk. There's nothing like fresh air and activity to boost the mood and put smiles on everyone's faces.

Let's make April our most active month yet!

For years Jackie has wanted to experience the joy of riding a horse. At Gaddesden Place Riding for the Disabled, her long‑held dream finally came to life. Supported to get up onto the mechanical horse know as Champion, Jackie embraced every moment, she smiled and laughed from start to finish. The day was made possible thanks to Kerry and Marian, Lead Support Worker and Support Worker from Jackie's team, whose ambition and determination to break down barriers opened the door to an experience Jackie won't forget.

We’ve all watched this clip more than once, it’s impossible not to. 🐴🐎.

With her support worker Maria, Jackie had a very productive Easter. Firstly, making some beautiful easter crafts and then completing her hanging basket. Can't wait to see that in full bloom Jackie 💐.

Welcome to Dilan, our newest speed-loving superstar! Dilan loves all things cars and speed, and here he is with Locality Manager Danielle, kicking things off with a high‑energy game of bowling before heading over to the arcade for a bit of driving action.

It’s fantastic to see you out and about getting to know your local community, and clearly showing Danielle a thing or two about how to win at bowling.

We are looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Tom is becoming more independent and confident, and this week he took another great step forward. He filled up his car with petrol on his own, spoke to the staff about which pump he’d used, and paid for it himself.

For many people this might seem like a small task, but for Tom it’s an important part of building everyday independence and he handled it really well.

A steady, positive step towards doing more things confidently in his own way.

Another busy week for Jackie!

She started with a shopping trip for new holiday clothes with Georgia and even treated herself to a stylish new pair of glasses! 👓

Jackie then got creative with Maria, making a beautiful Easter gift for her family and crafting a lovely family pottery ornament that looks absolutely fantastic.

But the biggest excitement of all… Jackie welcomed a new pet hamster! 🐹💛
Her adorable new friend is now settled at home and has been named Jasmine.

We can’t wait to see photos of Jasmine once she’s feeling fully at home!

What an eventful day trip to London for Daniel and his support worker, Tracy. They took a leisurely walk round both St. James Park and Green Park and walked all along the South Bank. They took in the sights and paid homage to the Covid memorial wall. The weather was kind to them, what a day enjoying the fresh air, walking 1000s of steps and seeing the sights.
Well done Daniel!
