Reasons to make a Will ⤵️

Here are just a few reasons why you should consider making a Will, sooner rather than later!

1️⃣ When you are not married to your long-term partner and want them to inherit. Without a Will they would get nothing!

2️⃣ When you have children under 18. Without a Will, if something happened to you, a court wouldn’t know who you would trust to look after them.

3️⃣ When you are part of a blended family with children from different relationships you should ensure all the children would inherit as you want them to by setting that out in your Will.

4️⃣ When you have step-children you treat as your own. Without a Will they would inherit nothing!

This festive season, Stevenage Community Trust is helping local families make Christmas a little brighter.

Our Christmas Gift Card Grant provides a £150 in gift card to help families ensure children enjoy a happier Christmas. ❤️

🗓 Application deadline: Friday 14th November

Who can apply:
👨‍👩‍👧 The main carer of at least one child under 18 who permanently lives with them.
Applicants must live locally and meet the full eligibility criteria listed in the application form.

Please note:
Applications must be submitted by a professional (such as a support worker, housing officer, social worker, teacher, or health professional) on behalf of the household. We’re unable to accept self-referrals.

A.R.K. Lasting Powers & Wills is a family company based in Stevenage, providing caring and professional Will writing, Lasting Power of Attorney and Pre-paid Funeral Plan services. We will visit you at home* at a time convenient to you. A Will appointment typically lasts around an hour; and if you require Lasting Powers of Attorney you can expect to spend about 30-45 minutes giving us the information and signatures needed in order for us to compile your professionally drawn up documents.

We will discuss your funeral requirements with sensitivity, and there will be absolutely no pressure to buy a Funeral Plan. We will just explain the options. You can have peace of mind knowing that your needs will be looked after by a professional company with all the processes, systems and insurances in place to ensure that you and your family will be protected from the worst. *If you would prefer to visit us during office hours this can also be arranged.
