CYCLES…

Life is made of cycles.
Some begin full of hope,
others end asking for silence and rest.
There are cycles that hurt when they close,
and others that set us free when the door shuts.

Everything has its time:
a time to persist,
a time to wait,
a time to let go.

Ending a cycle is not failure.
It is maturity, it is courage, it is self love.
It is understanding that growth also means learning
to release what has already fulfilled its purpose.

May new cycles arrive with lightness,
and may the old ones leave with gratitude.

Discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.

This honors the truth that the space between where you are and where you are going is not a void, it is a living landscape filled with guidance, growth, and quiet initiations. Instead of tightening in fear, you are invited to meet this in‑between place as a teacher that reveals your next steps through presence rather than pressure. It reminds you that transformation unfolds in its own rhythm and that inspiration often rises in the very places that once felt uncertain.

🍃 Shamanic Journey Invitation:
“What does the spirit of your in‑between place want to show you about the path you are walking, and how does it reveal the next small movement your soul is ready to make.”

This journey helps you meet the wisdom living inside the space between here and where you are being called so you can feel its guidance with more trust.

Text on Image: “I am learning to honor the space between where I stand and where my spirit is leading me. This in‑between place becomes a living teacher, inviting me to soften into trust rather than tighten in fear. When I let the journey unfold at its own rhythm, the path ahead begins to feel like an ally instead of a threat.”

The definition of trauma bonding is often confused or debated. This graphic describes the cycle that may be learned in childhood and reemerge in relationships formed in adulthood.

As always please be collegial and supportive in your responses, thank you 🙏

It's funny how I think I know something and then find out that I've had it wrong for years. Like Lady Banks' Roses. I thought the yellow roses my grandmother grew on a trellis by her house were that type of rose and it is certainly possible that a more traditional yellow rose is called that by some folks. But this climbing almost thornless rose I spotted on a walk over the weekend is in fact Lady Banks' Roses. This rose is native to China, but was brought to Europe in the early 1800s. This is amongst the earliest flowering of all roses and fragrant, smelling like violets. The rose is named for Dorothea Lady Banks, the wife of botanist Sir Joseph Banks. And just like that I learned something new!

Dear Me,

Thank you for showing up every day,
even when you weren’t sure of the next step.

Thank you for moving forward
even while carrying fear, doubt, and unanswered questions.

You are enough.
Not because everything is figured out,
but because you kept going.

You deserve kindness.
You deserve patience.
You deserve to feel safe inside your own experience.

Some days are heavy.
Some seasons ask more than you expected to give.

Still, you are here.
Learning. Adjusting. Becoming.

And that matters more than you know.
