🌿 Exciting Announcement 🌿

HSTAR is delighted to share an exciting new opportunity to work together with Nour Wellness to deliver mental health and wellbeing sessions for women in our community.

These sessions will focus on holistic approaches to wellbeing, including calming sound bath experiences, gentle movement, and Pilates-style classes. They are designed to offer a supportive, welcoming, and trauma-informed space where women can take time for themselves at their own pace. Participants will be encouraged to listen to their bodies, make choices that feel right for them, and engage in ways that feel comfortable, whether that means joining in fully, taking a pause, or simply resting.

As part of this collaboration, participants will also have the opportunity to experience Nour’s innovative red light movement space. Nour uses red and near-infrared light technology within its wellness environment, combining gentle therapeutic light with movement-based sessions. This approach can support relaxation, rest, recovery, body awareness, and a sense of calm, creating a nurturing setting where women are invited to move, breathe, pause, and restore in a way that feels manageable for them.

We understand that recovery and wellbeing look different for everyone. Healing is not only about talking; it can also be supported through movement, breath, relaxation, sound, body awareness, and creating moments of calm. For many people, trauma can be held not only in our memories but also in our bodies, so gentle, choice-led holistic movement can offer another way to reconnect, release tension, reduce stress, and support emotional balance without pressure or expectation.

We are really looking forward to working alongside Nour Wellness, a welcoming wellness space in the heart of Stirling, to bring these nurturing sessions to our community.

More details, including dates, times, and how to take part, will be shared soon.

We can’t wait to begin this journey together.

A small change can make a big difference 💜

More volunteers and students are joining us every day to learn, collaborate, and support our work. To make sure everyone has what they need to contribute effectively, we’re raising £200 for additional desks and chairs in our expanded office space.
It might sound simple, but these essentials make a real difference -helping our volunteers and students stay focused, comfortable, and able to carry out their day-to-day tasks with ease.
This isn’t just about furniture - it’s about creating the right environment for people to learn, contribute, and make an impact.
If 20 people gave £10, we’d reach our goal today.
Can you be one of them?

Donate here:
https://www.hstar-scotland.org/donate-2

Any funds raised beyond the £200 target will go towards supporting our therapy services.

Every penny helps us support our community. Thank you for being part of this 🙏

April Check-In: You Deserve Support 🌱💙

As we move into April, a month that brings both renewal and reflection, it’s also an important time to pause and check in with ourselves and each other.

April marks Stress Awareness Month, a time dedicated to recognising the impact stress can have on our mental and physical wellbeing, and World Health Day (7 April), which reminds us that health includes our mental health just as much as our physical health.

If things feel overwhelming, heavy, or hard to manage right now, please remember this: you don’t have to face it alone.

At HSTAR Scotland SCIO, we’re here to listen, support, and walk alongside you, without judgment. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, or just need someone to talk to, your feelings are valid, and your voice matters.

If the words below from someone who reached out speak to you, take that first step. Reaching out can feel difficult, but it can also be the start of something better.

Visit https://www.hstar-scotland.org/
to learn more about how we can support you.

This April, let’s prioritise our wellbeing, support one another, and remind ourselves:
You are not alone. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever 💙

We are grateful for the spotlight and support, here to another year of wonderful work of supporting the community together 💜

Investing in women’s independence creates stronger communities for everyone.

As part of our International Women’s Day campaign and this year’s theme “Give to Gain,” today we’re spotlighting HSTAR Scotland - Healed Scars, founded by Ewelina Chin.

Through trauma-informed, multilingual support, HSTAR helps women across Central Scotland who have experienced abuse and complex trauma rebuild confidence, strengthen independence and move forward safely.

Huge thanks to the entire team at HSTAR for the incredible work they do in our communities 💛

Here are Ewelina’s reflections on why financial confidence and stability are key to empowering women ⬇️
