✨ Time Off Notice ✨

As a solo business owner, I handle every part of KA Therapies myself. While I may have “days off,” the business always continues behind the scenes.

After an extremely busy few months, I have scheduled dedicated time to fully switch off and rest.

KA Therapies will be closed from 24 February to 12 March.

During this time

• I will be OFF social media.

• The business phone will be switched OFF & left in the drawer at the clinic.

This time is essential for me to rest and recharge, and I kindly ask that my time off is respected so I can return refreshed and ready to care for you all again.

Booking Information

My diary at present is open 8 weeks in advance and appointments must be booked through the online booking system only.

All treatment details, prices, durations and booking policies are clearly listed there. Please ensure you read ALL information before booking and follow what is asked of you.

Availability is now limited, so as always I recommend booking ahead.

Thank you for your continued support.

I truly appreciate every one of you.

What Is a “Muscle Knot”

In clinical terms, what we commonly call a “knot” is known as a myofascial trigger point — a small area of contracted muscle fibres that fail to relax.

These areas can feel like tight bands or small lumps under the skin and may cause.

Localised pain or tenderness
Restricted range of motion
Referred pain (pain felt in another area of the body)
Muscle fatigue or weakness

Why do knots form?

They often develop due to

🔷 Overuse or repetitive movement
🔷 Poor posture
🔷 Muscle imbalances
🔷 Stress and tension
🔷 Dehydration or lack of proper recovery

How massage helps

Sports and deep tissue massage work to release these “knots” by

🔷Improving blood flow and oxygen delivery
🔷 Breaking down adhesions in the muscle tissue
🔷 Restoring flexibility and range of motion
🔷 Reducing pain and promoting faster recovery

Whether you’re training regularly or sitting at a desk all day, addressing knots can improve performance, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

✨ Why Body Therapy Work Matters for EVERYONE ✨

We only get one body — and everything we do daily impacts it. From workouts, sports, and training… to long hours standing, sitting, lifting, and even the way we carry stress, thoughts, and emotions.
It’s for everyone

🔷 Gym-goers & athletes of all levels and ages
🔷 Stay-at-home mums
🔷 Office workers
🔷 Hairdressers, carers & mechanics
🔷 Everyday people juggling busy lives

Why body therapy helps.

Body therapy work eases tension, improves mobility, rebalances the body, and supports your overall wellbeing — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

KCR vs Massage

🔷 Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) goes deeper than massage, correcting imbalances, aligning your posture, and supporting long-term movement.

🔷 Massage relieves tension, boosts circulation, and restores relaxation.

✨ Combined together?

The ultimate reset for your body — inside and out.

Book your session today and give your body the care it deserves.

🎄 Festive Break & Business Hours Update 🎄

As we head into the Christmas period, I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ll be taking some time away from social media and stepping back from messages to properly switch off, reset and recharge, just like so many of you will be doing too 🤍

My last working day will be Monday 22nd December and I’ll return on Saturday 27th December.

Any messages, emails, or enquiries received while I’m off will be kindly responded to during my working hours only on the following dates

🔹 December 27th
🔹 December 29th & 30th
🔹 January 3rd

I’ll then be fully back to business as normal on January 7th.

Moving forward, I’ll be responding to all business messages, calls and emails during working hours only. This helps me keep a healthy work–life balance so I can continue showing up with full energy and care for my clients — thank you so much for understanding and supporting this.

Online booking is the easiest way to secure your appointment — there’s no need to message me to book as everything can be done directly through the booking system at any time.

If you already have a booking and need to change or amend your appointment, this can also be done through the booking system without needing to contact me directly.

If you’re unsure what to book or would prefer to chat before committing to anything, you’re more than welcome to book a consultation, which can be either

🔹 A phone consultation
🔹 An in-house, face-to-face consultation

Many clients love this option so we can talk everything through together before you book your treatment, it’s there for you whenever you need it.

Thank you all for your ongoing understanding, kindness and support. It truly means the world to me. I hope you all have the most beautiful festive period filled with rest, love, laughter and special moments

✨ Hijama (Wet Cupping Therapy) ✨

An Integral Part of Chronic Pain Recovery

When clients come to me with chronic pain, Hijama is often one of the key therapies I incorporate into their personalised recovery programme.

Hijama works by supporting circulation and encouraging the removal of built-up waste and stagnation in the body — helping to reduce inflammation, ease tension, and support the body’s natural healing response.

How Hijama supports recovery

🔷 Supports Waste Removal & Circulation
Hijama encourages the movement of stagnant blood and metabolic waste, allowing fresh, oxygenated blood to nourish the area.

🔷 Injury Rehabilitation
By improving circulation and releasing tight tissue, Hijama supports muscle recovery and helps the body heal more effectively after injury or strain.

🔷 Pain Management
Many clients experience relief from chronic pain, muscular tension, and stiffness as pressure is reduced and mobility improves.

🔷 Post-Epidural Relief
Women who experience ongoing lower back discomfort following epidurals often find Hijama helps release deep tension and improves comfort in the affected area.

🔷 Support for Heavy Periods
Hijama can help reduce pelvic congestion and support circulation, which may ease discomfort associated with heavy menstrual cycles.

🔷 Sciatica Support
Targeting the lower back, glutes, and hips can help reduce nerve irritation, ease muscle tightness, and support sciatica relief.

Combined with KCR, Hijama becomes even more powerful — addressing both the physical structure and the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Together, they support alignment, circulation, pain relief, and long-term recovery.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all treatment. It’s a strategic, holistic approach designed to give your body the best chance to heal.

How Well Do You Really Know Your Body?

Your body is an incredible system of strength, balance, and connection — and understanding it helps you appreciate just how vital body therapy truly is.

Here’s what you’re made of

🔷 Muscles: ~650 — powering every move, stabilising every joint, and supporting your posture.

🔷 Bones: 206 — your structural foundation.

🔷 Ligaments: 900+ — keeping bones and joints stable and aligned.

🔷 Joints: 300+ — allowing freedom and flow of movement.

🔷 Tendons: ~4,000 — connecting muscles to bones for precise movement.

🔷 Organs: 78 — working together to sustain balance and health.

🔷 Fascia System: an intelligent web of connective tissue linking every part of your body — muscles, bones, organs, and nerves — into one continuous system.

✨ Invest in your body — it’s the only place you have to live.

Regular body therapy and KCR treatments are not just for injury recovery — they’re for maintenance, performance, and total wellbeing.

Visit my online booking system to schedule your next session.

✨ Your results don’t stop when you leave the treatment room ✨

Whether it’s KCR (Kinetic Chain Release), massage, or any other therapy – what you do after matters just as much as what we do during.

I can help your body feel aligned, balanced, and pain-free.
But if you go straight back into old habits, your body will quickly pick them up again.

The aftercare advice I give you isn’t optional – it’s part of your healing.

Stretching, hydration, posture awareness, or movement routines are there to help you maintain results.

I can make you feel amazing, but accountability is in your hands. What you do after your session is the difference between a short-term fix and long-lasting change.

Ready to not just feel better, but stay better? Book your treatment and let’s make the changes stick.
