✨ KCR is the total rest your body needs — even when you’re not in pain ✨

So often we wait until something hurts to seek support…

But healing isn’t only about fixing pain, it’s about optimising how your body feels and functions every day.

Modern life keeps our nervous systems switched on 24/7
stress, work demands, emotional load, stimulation, poor sleep.
Even when nothing is “wrong,” the body rarely reaches true rest.
KCR gives your nervous system the opportunity to fully switch off and reset, creating space for natural repair, release, and renewal.

🔹 Calms the nervous system
🔹 Reduces underlying tension
🔹 Improves sleep and recovery
🔹 Boosts energy and mood
🔹 Supports emotional balance
🔹 Encourages full-body restoration

But one of the most powerful benefits?

That ‘feel good’ freedom in your body.

Moving without overthinking.

Sitting without constantly adjusting or holding tension.

Standing up from a chair with ease.

Walking, stretching, relaxing — simply being in your body comfortably again.

No stiffness.
No tightness.
No constant awareness of discomfort.

Just ease, relaxation, and natural movement — the way your body is meant to feel.

🔹 You don’t need pain to deserve care.
🔹 You don’t need injury to prioritise rest.
🔹 You don’t need burnout to support your wellbeing.

KCR is proactive healing — for bodies that want to feel better, move better, and rest better.

✨ Giveaway Winner Announcement ✨

Last week, I shared a very special offer — the opportunity to receive a complimentary KCR treatment, in loving memory of Hugh Gilbert, the creator of this incredible therapy. The 1st of April would have marked his 80th birthday, and we wanted to honour his legacy in a meaningful way.

Hugh’s work has helped so many people, and this felt like a beautiful way to give back — continuing his vision of care, healing, and support for others.

I am pleased to announce that the winner is

Congratulations! I can’t wait for you to experience the benefits of this truly special treatment.

To everyone who entered and shared your kind words — thank you. It means so much to be part of a community that values helping one another, just as Hugh intended.

This is more than a treatment — it’s a legacy of care, connection, and giving back 🤍

He is risen 🤍✨

Today I give thanks to Yeshua — for His sacrifice, His love, and the gift of new life.

Through Him, there is grace, redemption, and hope beyond anything this world can offer. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve faced, His love remains constant.

Today is a reminder that light overcomes darkness, and life overcomes death.

Grateful. Grounded. Renewed.

There’s something powerful about work that comes from the heart 🤍

Today I’ve been reflecting on the deeper purpose behind KCR — creating balance, restoring energy, and holding space for true healing.

Whilst thinking about someone who truly changed the way I see myself as a therapist 🤍

Hugh saw something in me way back in 2009, and that’s something I’ll always carry with me in the work I do every day.

It’s never just a treatment, it’s an experience, a reset, a moment to come back to yourself.

And sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can do is extend that to someone else.

Because of that, this work means so much more than just treatments, it’s about helping people reconnect, rebalance, and heal.

In his memory, I’d love to gift a KCR session to someone who truly needs it right now ✨

If this feels aligned, tag yourself or someone you love below 🤍

I’ll choose one person at random on Easter Sunday.

Why do some people feel tired after KCR, while others feel energised?

If you’ve had Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) and noticed very different responses — you’re not alone.
And importantly: both responses are completely normal and positive.

Why some people feel TIRED after KCR
KCR works through the entire kinetic chain, releasing long-held tension, restriction, and compensation patterns.
For some people, this can lead to

🔹A down-regulation of the nervous system
🔹A shift from “fight or flight” into “rest and repair”
🔹Release of deeply held physical and emotional tension
🔹A temporary drop in adrenaline and guarding

The body finally feels safe enough to rest.

Feeling tired can be a sign that your system is resetting and recovering, not that anything has gone wrong.
Why some people feel ENERGISED after KCR
Others experience

🔹Improved circulation and flow
🔹Reduced muscular restriction
🔹Better alignment and efficiency
🔹 Less effort required to move

This can create a feeling of lightness, clarity, and increased energy.
The body now moves with less resistance, so energy is freed up rather than used for compensation.

Same protocol — different responses
Even though everyone receives the same KCR protocol, no two bodies respond the same way.
Why?

🔹 Different injury histories
🔹 Different stress loads
🔹 Different nervous system states
🔹 Different lifestyles, training levels, and recovery capacity

Your response cannot be compared to someone else’s.
Respect your body’s response
There is no need to label your experience as “good” or “bad”.

Your body will take

🔹What it needs
🔹When it needs it
🔹 In the way that serves you best

The most important thing you can do is

✨ Listen
✨ Hydrate
✨ Rest or move gently as needed
✨ Allow the process

KCR isn’t about forcing change — it’s about allowing the body to rebalance.

If you have questions about your response after a session, I am always happy to guide you.

Jet lag is gone, the diary is full, and clinic life is officially back ✨

I won’t lie — the jet lag definitely won for a solid week 🙈

Since returning, I’ve been fully focused on what I love most & welcoming all of my lovely clients back into the clinic and getting stuck back into treatments 🙌🏽

As you can imagine, social media has taken a little back seat while I’ve been hands-on doing what I do best 🤍

I’ll be updating all pages again very soon with more educational content, treatment info, expert advice, and everything you need to know about how I can help you feel your absolute best.

As always, my approach is about specialist-led care — not generalised treatments, not one-size-fits-all advice.
I believe in educating my clients, helping you understand your options, and delivering tailored treatments with real expertise and intention.

Thank you for keeping me so busy since I got back — I wouldn’t have it any other way

Hola 👋🏻

I’m officially back to work after a little time off and I’m so looking forward to seeing you all again 🤍

I’m currently catching up on emails, messages, voicemails and all enquiries, so if you haven’t had a reply from me just yet, please bear with me. I’m working through everything in the order it was received to make sure no one is missed.

I’ll be online from 4pm onwards today and will be dedicating time to getting back to everyone as quickly as possible.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding — it truly means a lot. If you’ve been in touch, please don’t worry, you will hear from me at some point today.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself and your business is step away for a break.

I booked a last-minute trip to Thailand, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed — rest, sun, fresh air, ocean views, proper sleep and a real reset away from everything including the business phone.

Taking that time gave me the space to recharge, reflect and come back with a clear head and fresh energy.

While I was away I also reflected on how to keep the clinic running as smoothly as possible for everyone, so just a gentle reminder

✨ Please read the booking system, information and terms carefully when making an appointment. They’re there to keep things fair and running smoothly.

✨ Please provide all requested information when booking. There are professional guidelines I have to follow for insurance, safety and record keeping before treatment can take place.

✨ If you’re booking for yourself and someone else, this must be done as two separate bookings. If only one booking is made for two people, both appointments will unfortunately be cancelled.

✨ Please respect clinic hours and working days. When I’m off, I’m off — just like you would be with your own job.

✨ The booking system is there for a reason, so please use it and use it correctly.

This reset reminded me how important boundaries are so I can show up fully for my clients. Clear hours and systems allow me to give you my full attention, energy and the best service when you’re in the clinic.

It also reminded me how important proper time off is. Running a business and working 5–6 days a week is easy then before you realise months have passed.

Because of that, I’ll be making sure I schedule regular time off throughout the year so I can keep showing up with the same energy and focus for you all.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the clinic and respect the way it runs — it genuinely means a lot. 🤍

Now… back to doing what I love, support and serve all of you in the best way I can. 💫

✨ OUT OF OFFICE ✨

That’s me officially on a break 🙌🏽

For the next little while I’m having a full switch-off.

The business phone is off and staying at the clinic
I won’t be active or posting on social media, it’s time to be Kirsty, not KA Therapies 🤍

✨ You can still book appointments anytime via the online booking system

✨ If you’re unsure what to book, a consultation is always recommended

I’ll be back after I’ve rested, recharged, and slept like there’s no tomorrow 😴✨

Tell me in the comments, what’s your idea of the perfect switch-off?
Or drop a 🤍 if I’ll be seeing you when I’m back

🔖 Save this post if you need the booking reminder

Thank you for always supporting me and KA Therapies see you soon, refreshed and glowing ✨

Body Therapy vs Painkillers

So many people reach for painkillers when pain strikes, but here’s the truth,

Painkillers
Mask the pain by dulling your body’s signals.
They don’t fix the underlying issue.
Once they wear off, the pain usually comes back.

Body Therapy
Works with your muscles, joints, and nervous system.
Addresses the root cause of your pain (not just the symptoms).
Supports healing, restores movement, and helps prevent the issue returning.

Why choose body therapy?
Because instead of “switching off” your body’s alarm system with a pill, you’re actually finding out why it’s sounding the alarm in the first place — and resolving it.

What I offer goes beyond temporary relief. It’s about helping your body recover, move better, and feel stronger long term.

Visit my online booking system to secure an appointment.
