What actually 𝗶𝘀 self care?

When we hear “self care,” a lot of us picture bubble baths, scented candles, or expensive treats. While those things can be part of it, self care isn’t about pampering - it’s about looking after yourself in a way that keeps you going, especially when life feels heavy.

To find out more about the 5 types of self care, and how to look after yourself when things feel a little more difficult, visit the toolkits on our website.

Sunday marked the last Kiltwalk of 2025 - the Edinburgh Kiltwalk 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Connor & Aydn from St Modans High School took on the Edinburgh big stroll, walking 11 miles to raise funds for Back Onside.

We want to thank each and every person that took part in any of the Kiltwalks for Back Onside this year. We’ve never had so many walkers, and have raised more funds than ever before, thanks to each and every person who supported us.

Our Edinburgh Kiltwalkers have raised an amazing £946, making our grand total for Kiltwalks this year £51,685. To every person who walked, supported, or donated, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

We’re so excited to see what 2026 has in store 🙌🏽
