No two lives are the same, and neither should their farewell be. From favourite songs, to bespoke floral tributes, we help families create tributes as unique as the person they honour. 💙

This morning we took a dearly loved Husband, Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad on his final journey, and to honour his love for his pigeons, (a passion that brought him so much peace, pride and countless happy hours) we helped the family create this personal Pigeon floral tribute, with the help from our friends at Grangetown florists 🌺

The staff of Derek Moss & Charles Embleton Funeral Directors are so sorry to hear of the passing of Councillor Dorothy Trueman.

We had the honour and privilege of meeting Dorothy during her time as Mayor of Sunderland in 2023, when we attended Houghton Feast with our Charity Organ. She greeted us with such warmth and sincerity, and it was clear how deeply she cared for the people she served.

Dorothy will be fondly remembered by many, and our thoughts are with Harry, her family, friends, and all who knew her at this very difficult time.

RIP Dorothy. 💙🕊️

The seminar “Dispelling the Myths of the Funeral Director” explored what really happens behind the scenes when families place their trust in Derek Moss & Charles Embleton Funeral Directors. Stuart shared insights into the care, respect, and attention that guide every step of the process, helping to open up conversations that people often find difficult to approach.

The team at If U Care Share were incredibly welcoming, and their openness, questions, and thoughtful discussion made the session both engaging and meaningful. It’s always a privilege to support organisations who work so passionately to help others. 💙 We are already looking forward to meeting you again soon for another session.

Yesterday, Funeral Service Arranger Kevin Taylor had the honour of taking baby Madison on her final journey, accompanied by Johnny Cash and Amigo.

A beautiful and heartfelt farewell for a precious little girl taken far too soon. Bespoke drapes were created, adding a personal and meaningful touch to the day.

With sincere thanks to our friends at North East Carriage Company as always for their valued assistance.
