For want of a better analogy – we are a recruitment & match-making agency for people that need support to remain living in their own home and carers that wish to find lovely people to care for. Our carers literally 'live-in' the homes of our clients for a period of weeks whilst they are working to support. They then take a break and return if all is well. Our service allows for high levels of continuity as often people have 2/3 carers who care for them throughout a year. Our private, family-run agency has been successfully recruiting & introducing expertly trained live-in carers to our discerning clients since 1994. We foster and embody the values of excellence, integrity and open communication and it is with these values firmly in mind that our caring office team is here to listen, help, advise and guide. We care about our carers as much as our clients and know that only when we work together as a team can we provide the best service to our clients. ✨ Junior Recruitment & Registration Administrator (Full Time)
A wonderful entry-level opportunity for someone early in their career who is organised, people-focused and keen to learn. Full training provided and real room to grow.

✨ Weekend Client Welcome & Office Administrator (Part Time)
Our new weekend front-of-house role (Saturday & Sunday, 9.45am–4.15pm). Perfect for someone warm, confident and happy working independently while keeping our office welcoming and well organised.
💷 £15.00 per hour
🔄 Job share (alternate weekends) happily considered.

We are a close-knit team of around 15 people based in the heart of Stockbridge, and we pride ourselves on being friendly, professional and genuinely supportive — very much a boutique environment rather than a large corporate setting.

Celebrating Judie – 80 Years Young

Today we celebrate a remarkable woman — and a truly special milestone.

Judie, the founder of Access Care, turns 80 today.
Thirty-two years ago, in 1994, Judie built an independent, family business grounded in values that continue to define it today: dignity, kindness, integrity and the belief that care should always feel personal. What began as a simple idea has stood the test of time — not because it was easy, but because it was built with heart, courage and purpose.

Over more than three decades, Access Care has given thousands of families the means to arrange care for someone they love in the comfort of their own home. It has connected thousands of care workers with clients, allowing them to earn an income from a career they are passionate about. And it has provided meaningful employment for countless office teams who dedicate their working lives to helping people across the UK arrange care with confidence and compassion.

Like any business that lasts, the journey has not always been smooth. There have been challenges and testing moments along the way. But Judie’s response has always been the same — calm, steady and quietly resolute:
“Breathe, darlings.”
A reminder to pause, take stock, pivot, strengthen, learn — and then get up and go again.

Judie is many things. A wife of over 50 years. A devoted mother and grandmother. A loyal friend. A powerhouse businesswoman. And a warm light shining in so many lives. She exudes unmistakable style and grace — complemented by a hair colour (that she does herself!) so iconic it regularly stops people in the street. She is fun, fair, bubbly and enigmatic. A champers-sipping sweetheart with a formidable edge and the warmest of hearts.
Although she has stepped back from the day-to-day running of Access Care, Judie remains very much present. She watches from the wings, knows exactly what is happening, and offers quiet guidance and unwavering support behind the scenes.

Retirement, it turns out, was never going to suit her. Within a week, an opportunity presented itself to own a small high-street boutique — which she has steered through a global pandemic and grown into a place of colour and joy, just like her. You’ll still find her working there today. Turning 80 has done absolutely nothing to slow her down.

Today we celebrate not just Judie’s birthday, but her legacy — one business that has changed countless lives, endured through time, and continues to be shaped by the values she set all those years ago; and another that brings a smile to the face of everyone who walks through the door.

Happy 80th birthday, Judie.
