We have recently received some truly kind cards and thoughtful gifts from families we have supported 🤍

It is never expected. It is never asked for. And it genuinely means more than we can properly put into words.

To be trusted at such a difficult time is something we never take lightly. So when families take the time afterwards to send a card, drop in a gift, or simply say thank you, it really does stop us in our tracks.

Your kindness reminds us why we do what we do.

Today we celebrate wonderful mums everywhere, but we also take a moment to think of those who are missing theirs today.

If Mother’s Day feels a little harder this year, you are not alone. The love shared between a mother and child never truly leaves us, and the memories we hold remain a lasting part of who we are.

Every chapel has its own character.

Some are traditional and intimate. Some are modern and full of light. Each one feels different the moment you walk in.

One of the parts of this job we genuinely appreciate is being able to support families in so many different places. No two services are ever the same, and no two settings are either.

Altrincham Crematorium has a calm, spacious feel to it. A quiet backdrop where stories are shared, tears are shed, and lives are remembered properly.

Different chapel. Same care. Same attention to detail. Same commitment to getting it right. 🤍

Every farewell is different.

Some are bright and bold. Some are soft and understated. And some are simply beautiful in their simplicity.

This tribute was filled with delicate pinks, fresh whites and gentle touches of red. A reflection of love, warmth and a life well lived. 🌸🤍

No matter the weather outside, inside there is always care, dignity and attention to every detail.

It is a privilege to carry families through these moments and to make sure everything looks exactly as it should.

This service was a little closer to home for us.

Five years ago, we had the privilege of looking after her husband. Since then, she would regularly pop in to see us. A quick chat. A catch up. A familiar smile walking through the door.

I do not think she ever truly realised just how far her warmth and friendliness reached. She had that way about her that made people feel welcome straight away.

As a long standing switchboard operator at Stepping Hill, she was known by so many. And judging by the number of people who came to pay their respects, she was clearly loved by them too.

It was an honour to look after her, just as we did her husband all those years ago.

Some people leave a mark without ever trying to. She was one of them 🤍

Recently, we had the honour of looking after a double funeral through our direct cremation service 🤍

Two lives. Two stories. One final journey, carried out with the same care, dignity and attention we give every family we support.

Direct cremation does not mean less respect. It simply means a different choice. For some families, it is the right and most fitting way to say goodbye.

Even without a traditional service at the crematorium, there was still reflection, still love, and still a deep sense of honour in what we were doing.

Every farewell matters. However simple. However private.

Recently, we were pleased to hand over a family’s Ever With memorial jewellery that they had carefully chosen in memory of their loved one 🤍

There is something incredibly special about seeing these pieces for the first time. Such a small, delicate item, yet it holds so much meaning.

It is lovely to know that they can now keep a little part of their loved one close to them, in such a beautiful and personal way 💍✨

And for us, one of the most rewarding moments is seeing the smiles when they open the box. Even in the hardest times, those small moments of comfort really matter.

We recently travelled a little further afield to Peel Green Crematorium in Eccles 🚗

We were there to look after a wonderful lady who was described to us, with great affection, as “at times… a true Salford battleaxe.”

And honestly… we love that ❤️

Strong willed, straight talking and knew exactly what she thought and rarely kept it to herself. The stories shared about her had us smiling from the very first meeting.

It is always a privilege to hear families speak about someone in a way that feels real. Not polished. Not softened. Just honest and full of character 🌿

From Stockport to Eccles, we were proud to be there to make sure everything was just right for her send off 🤍

Every life has its own personality. Every farewell should reflect it ✨

Not every tribute has to follow tradition 💚

We recently looked after the funeral of a lady who was absolutely clear about one thing… no cut flowers. And she didn’t mind telling you either!

So instead of a traditional spray, we created a living arrangement using plants that could be carefully dismantled and shared between her family afterwards. A lasting tribute, just as she would have wanted.

After the service, her family kindly sent us photos of the plants rehomed and thriving and even the foliage used on the coffin had been turned into beautiful little arrangements. Nothing wasted. Nothing thrown away. Just memories growing on in different homes.

It was such a lovely, personal way to honour her wishes and a reminder that there is always another way to say goodbye 🌿

Recently we said goodbye to a true performer.

She was a singer, a character, a little bit cheeky and completely unforgettable. Music was woven all the way through her life, so it was only right that it carried her farewell too.

We shared photographs, her favourite songs and even a video of her performing in her own wonderfully spirited way. There were smiles. There were tears. And there was laughter, just as she would have wanted.

Red was her colour. Bold, confident and impossible to ignore. So in her honour, we wore red too. A red buttonhole. A red coat. And yes… bright red lipstick.

As the service came to a close, Lisa and I surprised the family. Maracas and tambourine in hand, we led everyone out of the chapel dancing and clapping to Y Viva España, one of her absolute favourites.

It was joyful. It was heartfelt. It was her.

Funerals do not have to be sombre to be meaningful. Sometimes the most powerful tribute is one filled with personality, music and celebration.

Thank you to her beautiful family for trusting us to help create a farewell as vibrant as she was. ❤️

We know we have been a little quiet on here lately.

The truth is, we have been incredibly busy doing what matters most, supporting families every single day. When families need us, they always come first. Social media can wait 🤍

Behind the scenes it has not just been services and arrangements keeping us occupied. We have been completely refreshing our brochures so that when you sit down with us, you have more choice, more ideas and more clarity.

Very soon we will be introducing a brand new Coffin Book, a new Flowers Book and an updated Choices and Ideas guide. All thoughtfully put together to help families explore options in a way that feels supportive and never overwhelming.

We are looking forward to showing you properly over the coming weeks.

A really glorious funeral, with stories that had people laughing, and crying was held recently for a lady who was so dearly loved it was plain to see.
