Abi's Bio

Hi! My name is Abi and I’m a Yoga teacher & Reiki practitioner. I first fell in love with Yoga practising online whilst studying for my GCSEs (a long time ago), I loved both how empowered and relaxed I felt after a practise.

I completed my first Yoga Teacher Training in Yin & Yoga Nidra in 2019. Since then I’ve qualified in Power Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Mandala Yoga. I absolutely love empowering students to feel good in their Yoga classes. I also host Women’s Circles and Retreats. I recently became a mum too and my little Luna is keeping me busy. I hope to see you in class soon!

What to Expect:

Fundamentals Exploration: Abi will take you on a journey, exploring the fundamentals of yoga, making it a perfect opportunity for beginners.
No Experience Necessary: Whether you're a seasoned yogi or stepping onto the mat for the first time, this workshop is designed for everyone.
Chill Out Session: Conclude the workshop with a relaxing and rejuvenating chill-out session, leaving you feeling refreshed and centered.

An 8 week course starting on 5th June - this Monday

This course is for those who have never stepped on a mat, or for those who have and would simply like to take it back to basics!

You will gently be introduced to breathing techniques you might find in an all-levels yoga class, become familiar with the different postures, their benefits and appropriate alignment for your individual body, and practicing with intention.
I am passionate about yoga not only being for the young and flexible, and so this course will be welcoming to all especially if you have never stepped on a yoga mat.
During this course you will access beginner friendly postures, breathwork, meditation and relaxation.
Every class will contain elements a rounded yoga practice:
Physical postures (known as asana) - working to strengthen and tone the body, and boost safe mobility.
Meditation - yoga is an ancient form of meditation. By including simple, accessible mindfulness techniques, often enjoyed lying down, we invite the mind into a less reactive, calmer state.
Breathwork (known as pranayama) - how we can use simple breath practices to boost mood and re-balance the nervous system
Relaxation - in our culture of permanent busyness, most of us have forgotten how to relax. We spend time on this incredibly important art.

Included is access to an online on-demand library for 2 months, with an option to continue after this. This is worth £50 and includes access to an online ‘Introduction to Yoga and Meditation’ course - perfect for any weeks you can’t make it, and continuing your practice in between our classes together.

Mondays 6.15-7.15pm

All props are provided at both studios and on street parking is available - you only need to bring yourself!
The perfect start to the week, you will leave this calming class feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Your embodied slow flow practice is designed to held you build and regain strength as well as grow greater flexibility with dynamic and fluid stretches. We intersperse some traditional sequences, such as variations of sun salutations but we also include some more non-traditional sequences to build strength and also to promote good circulation of energy around the body. This class always involves the chance to experience a flowing sequence of yoga postures coordinated with the movement of the breath as well as some seated meditation.

Flow creatively from one position to the next with movements subtly linked by your breath - a sure way to take you out of your head and into your body whilst building muscle strength and flexibility.

Expect to find a combination of standing, balancing and seated postures, some pranayama (breath work) and challenging sections, but with options and modifications offered for all abilities.

This class is for those with some experience of yoga and movement.

I’m starting a new class at Inner Health Yoga in Stockport in their beautiful yoga studio. Starting Wednesday 17th November and running for a 6 week block until Wednesday 22nd December.
Classes are every Wednesday 7-8pm.

The classes are suitable for all abilities, and all are welcome. Yoga is a wonderful way to relax, slow down and let go.

As the Christmas period nears and we move into the winter months, it’s always so important to make sure we take some time for ourselves to rejuvenate.

Our Journey

Inner health clinic was born out of my passion to help others recover from illnesses like I did. My journey started with resigning from my stressful career in order to focus on what I really wanted to do. Since then my life has so easily fallen into place. My business has grown organically starting with nutrition therapy, then colonic hydrotherapy which helped me so much with my IBS when I was chronically ill, and in and out of hospital. After several years of practicing both nutrition therapy and colonic hydrotherapy I went down the road of wellbeing coaching, understanding that not everything can be treated with just physical therapy. There's often so much emotional healing that needs to take place. Joining up the physical and emotional ensures I give my clients a much more rounded approach to healing. From Wellbeing coaching I moved onto Yoga. I've had a love hate relationship with yoga over the years, I hated it when I needed it the most and now love it! I decided to train to become a yoga teacher to offer the benefits of this ancient practice with all its wisdom to my clients. I think more and more people see the importance of yoga in this day and age. Taking time out to nurture ourselves is vitally important to our health. I am now undertaking my Functional Medicine training with the University of Functional Medicine. So feel I have gone full circle. I'm passionate about expanding my knowledge in the areas I feel can make the biggest difference to peoples lives. I don't think I will ever stop learning. Knowledge is power after all.
