Today we celebrate World Braille Day, a system that changed the world. 🌍
In 1824, a 15-year-old named Louis Braille refined a complex military code into the elegant 6-dot system we know today. It wasn't just a new way to read; it was a gateway to education, employment, and complete independence for millions of people who are blind or partially sighted.
Why Braille still matters in a digital world:
Literacy: Braille allows users to understand grammar, spelling, and formatting in a way audio cannot.
Privacy: It enables people to read personal documents, labels, and signs independently.
Equality: Access to information is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.
