Stepping Hill Hospital Birth Centre - 8am to 2:30pm

Our drop-ins are open to ALL pregnant women, regardless of which GP surgery you're registered with, or where you intend to give birth

Twelve mums and babies attended November's walk into well-being last Thursday at Torkington Park, a fabulous turnout 😊.
The walk was led by Katie and Sylvie from the midwifery mental health team at Stepping Hill Hospital and they were joined by Graham from Dad Matters and Jenny from the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership. Dad Matters UK Stockport Maternity Voices Partnership

NEW BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT SESSION - STARTS THURSDAY 4th DECEMBER!

We are excited to let you all know that we are running another breastfeeding support session at STOCKROOM STOCKPORT, MERSEYWAY, SK1 1PW, 10 - 11.30am on 4th December, 11th December and 18th December - starting again on 8th January 2026!

This session will mirror our successful clinic held at John Lewis Cheadle every Tuesday during school term times only.
It is open to anyone who lives in Stockport or if your baby was born at Stepping Hill. You don't need an appointment - just your red book.

This session is perfect if :
- you are pregnant and want to get some more information about the benefits of breastfeeding, what to expect in the early days and get some practical tips
- you want to learn about the benefits of colostrum harvesting and want to get a collection kit
- you need some extra support with positioning or attaching your baby at the breast
- you have any ni**le or breast pain
- you want to build your confidence in feeding out and about with your baby
- you are returning to work and want to think about a plan that works for your family
- you want to meet other parents locally
- or maybe you have other questions or queries....
