🌸 We’re looking for women and birthing people to take part in a research study! 🌸

The study is exploring healthy lifestyles after having a baby to help improve postnatal and preconception services across Greater Manchester 💜
Who can take part? Women and birthing people who have had a baby in Greater Manchester in the last 12 months, are over 16 years old and speak English, Arabic or Urdu.

You can complete a questionnaire and/or take part in an interview - whatever works best for you!

Tuesday: Heald Green Clinic 8am to 3pm and Woodley Health Centre 8:15am to 3:30pm

Wednesday: North Reddish Clinic 8:15am to 3:30pm and Heaton Norris Medical Centre 8am to 5pm

Thursday: Brinnington Health Centre 8:15am to 3:30pm

Friday: Gatley Medical Centre 8am to 3pm, Stockport Grand Central 8:45am to 12:30pm and Kingsgate 1:15pm to 4pm

A perfect mix of sunshine and blue skies for our walk into well-being this morning. Four mums and babies and a Grandma joined Becky and Sylvie for a lovely walk along the River Mersey, stopping off for drinks/ice cream before continuing back down to the river and ending at Mersey Vale.

We were delighted to meet and welcome Charlie, the new Dad Matters UK co-ordinator for Stockport who will hopefully join us on future walks.

Our next walk will be on Thursday, 28th May at Alexandra Park, Edgeley. Further details nearer the time.

There’s no safe time and no safe amount of alcohol to drink during pregnancy.

Drymester encourages parents – and those around them – to go alcohol-free during pregnancy to help give babies the best possible start in life 💛

Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can cause Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), a range of lifelong disabilities affecting learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
If you’re pregnant or planning a pregnancy, the safest approach is not to drink alcohol at all.
