We were delighted to visit Greave Primary School & Nursery this week to deliver another interactive session on germs, staying healthy, and the importance of good handwashing.

It was fantastic to see how engaged the children were — full of energy, curiosity, and great questions! We explored how simple everyday habits, like washing our hands properly, can help keep us well, in school, and protect those around us.

At Bredbury Medical Centre, we believe that building healthy habits from a young age makes a lasting difference. It’s always a privilege to work with our local schools and support the health and wellbeing of children across Bredbury and Stockport.

Thank you to all the staff and pupils for such a warm welcome. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to be back again soon!

Ovarian cancer is often called a “silent” cancer because symptoms can be vague and easy to miss but early diagnosis really can save lives.

Please be aware of symptoms that are persistent, new, or getting worse, such as:
• Ongoing bloating
• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
• Needing to urinate more often or urgently

If you notice these symptoms happening frequently (especially more than 12 times a month), don’t ignore them, book an appointment with one of our GPs.
