Raising funds for Get Onside Mental Wellbeing Football to keep our sessions running and free for all to attend. The biggest obstacle for a group like ours is the running costs. As volunteers we work hard to fundraise and ensure our sessions continue to do what we & others love and enjoy,
and to see what everyone gets out of the group is priceless.
On Sunday 24th August our organiser Michael will be riding the Cheshire Loop canal towpath. This is estimated at 96 miles and with the ride from home to canal and back this should be in excess of 100 miles.

We run weekly football sessions aimed at getting people active.
It's a scientific fact that regular physical activity and exercise can make us healthier and happier.
When we're active, the body releases feel-good hormones that can improve our mood and boost our energy.
Other benefits of exercise for mental health include:
boosting our self-esteem and confidence
increasing motivation and focus
reducing tension, anxiety, stress and mental fatigue
helping to calm the mind, especially when dealing with difficult emotions like anger, frustration and sadness
reducing loneliness by offering new ways to get together with family and friends and meet new people
