Oh my golly gosh and good gracious!
November's events are on their way and what a way to wrap up a fantastic year of all the special guests we've had in 2025!
On Tuesday 4th November, we have the highly anticipated book launch for Chris Frost (aka Chris McDonald) THE CHRISTMAS TREE KILLER at St Paul's Church, Compstall (doors 6pm, starting at 6.30pm)
Robin Ince is back as promised 11th November (starts 6.30pm) with his wonderful collection of poetry ICE CREAM FOR A BROKEN TOOTH - about life, death and the odd bits in between.
Appearing at Runaway Brewery in Stockport, the finest beers available on what will be a very special evening!
RHYME & REASON - for people who don't usually read poetry, we are so looking forward to Mark Forsyth who will be appearing in our Stockport Town Centre bookshop on Monday 17th November (starts 6.30pm) a lighthearted and funny tour through English poetry where you'll discover what Byron really thought of Johnny Keats's piss-a-bed poetry, Why The Globe Theatre was mush more than twice the size of Wembley Stadium and much much more!
Caroline England's book launch in our Romiley Bookshop of her latest psychological thriller, BEHIND HER SMILE - a twisty story set in Manchester in the run up to Christmas Day, bookseller Tom Wood will be in conversation for this one and we look forward to seeing you there on Tuesday 25th November (starts at 6.30pm)
And finally, after the huge success of last years festive final event - MERRY CRIMEMAS 2 with Mark Edwards, Antony Johnston and CK McDonnell! Discussing their latest books and more, there will be giveaways, mince pies, mulled wine and merriment!
