Promised some more photos from Poynton Golden Memories Christmas Lunch/Party 2025. Such a wonderful time being entertained after lunch by Parkulele at The Legh Arms, Adlington - so .. .. .. .. .. .. .. we've booked both Parkulele and the Legh Arms again for December 2026!!

Thank you so much to Mark and Celia at The Legh Arms Adlington for making all our Poynton Golden Memories members and volunteers (72 in all) relax and enjoy our 2025 Christmas Lunch/Party. And thanks also to Parkulele for entertaining us after lunch - especially so for learning to play 'Twelve Days of Christmas' which has become a bit of a tradition. Take a look at the video - Andy struggled to keep order🤣.

Today was Poynton Golden Memories' last meeting of 2025 (although we will be having our Christmas Lunch/Party at The Legh Arms next Wednesday). Lots of Christmas jumpers, hats and glitter together with music, songs and dancing - a perfect last meeting of a wonderful year filled with love, friendship and peer support. We start again in 2026 on Wednesday 7th January 11:00am-3:00pm in the Main Hall at Poynton Civic Centre.
Wishing all our members, volunteers and followers a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Judy xx

Just a reminder- TIME To TALK is at Bollington Leisure Centre (SK10 5EX) Today 2:00-3:30pm. This is a drop-in session for anyone with memory problems to find out about Dementia services, finances, diet and local social groups. An excellent source of help for that niggling problem.

When siblings Kate Darby and Nick Shaw couldn’t find a dementia-friendly music activity their dad would enjoy, they created Dementia Disco.
