What a guy 👏 thank you John

What an incredible milestone! 💛

John started donating platelets with our Plymouth team back in 2010, after sadly losing his wife to lung cancer. At first, he gave every 6 to 8 weeks, but it didn’t take long before he was donating every 4 weeks, and sometimes even more often.

Even though he lives about 30 miles away, John still makes the trip regularly and his dedication over the years has been truly inspiring.

Now, he’s reached an amazing 500 donations, and he’s still going strong.

Thank you, John, for your kindness, commitment, and for making such a big difference to so many lives.

Did you know? Around 70% of platelet donations are used to help people with cancer. Donations take place at a donor centre and take up to two hours. You can give platelets every two weeks, every visit really counts.
