We did it!

Our brilliant team at Mastercall took part in the first of our 30th year celebratory events on Sunday, our 30k for 30 years fundraising walk, to raise funds for Diabetes UK.

So proud of our fantastic team on this amazing achievement, including our gorgeous mascots and four legged friends who were just incredible and spurred us on along the way. The sun shone for us, we saw an abundance of wildlife and even encountered a dog riding on a pony at one point!

30.7km distance covered, over 43,000 steps and a steep incline to finish. We are all a little bit battered, bruised and aching with a few blisters in tow but...we did it!

Mastercall recently had the opportunity to visit the new Moya Cole Hospice (formerly St Ann’s) in Heald Green, Stockport, to see first-hand the outstanding new facilities created for patients and their loved ones. The hospice plays a crucial role in providing compassionate, specialist care and ongoing support for people across our communities. We were truly impressed by the building & facilities, thank you so much to the team for showing us around.

Through our social value commitment, we are proud to sponsor a quiet family breakout room within the hospice. This space has been thoughtfully designed to give families a place to spend time together away from clinical areas, and we are delighted to support the incredible work the hospice team delivers every day.

Over the course of the year, we have lots of activities planned to mark this milestone, and first up is our 30k for 30 Years fundraising walk, taking place on Saturday 26th April, starting in Macclesfield.

Yesterday was International Women’s Day, a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution of women everywhere.

Across our communities, workplaces, families, and public life, women show strength, compassion, leadership, and resilience every day. They support others, break down barriers, and inspire the next generation, often while balancing many roles at once.

International Women’s Day is both a celebration and a reminder: progress has been made, but there is still more to do to ensure equality, opportunity, and respect for all women.

This year’s theme, Give to Gain, recognises that when we support, uplift and advocate for women, we all grow stronger together. At Mastercall, this connects directly to our people promise: Grow, Thrive, Belong, creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop, feel supported, and truly be themselves at work.
