I’ve just returned home from a 2 week all inclusive holiday and maintained my weight! I’m absolutely buzzing😃😜
“So picture 1 is of me n Tony about to attempt jet ski… I had set myself a goal of doing this whilst away as it would make me feel ‘normal’ after all the hip n knee surgery this year… and I absolutely loved it. I made a few changes to the way I went at it… normally on all inclusive I gain 7-10lb over 2 weeks and come back feeling massive, bloated and unhappy. I hadn’t lost the stone I wanted to before I went away so I knew I had to be careful. Watermelon became my new sweet fix- I never realised how lovely and satisfying it was. I only ate twice a day, yes my plate was full and way more than 15 syns however I choose the meats, potatoes, veg dishes, pasta…. Stayed away from bread, pastries and cakes/ice creams/desserts. I had one Ice cream on day 7 and 2 mini eclairs the last 2 days. I stuck to gin n tonic (apart from 1 night near end of hol tried 3-4 cocktails)but also drank loads more water than normal. I wasn’t drinking as much milk as normal as we had no facilities to brew up ourselves.
Also walked more than normal and had more stairs to climb too so steps were higher than normal.
I came back feeling healthy and relaxed and pleased that I’d made some tweaks. Getting back on scales 24 hrs later to have a maintain was a massive win and boost to me. Gives me the confidence to know it can be done when I go away again. It makes me feel so so happy as that’s never happened before ever in the last 10 yrs. it’s never too late to make changes, if we ask ourselves ‘what do we want more’ the happiness of feeling slim will always win over that next bread roll, plate of chips or dessert” ❤️
