👨‍🍳 Big congratulations to David, our talented Head Chef at Hollie Hill Care Home!

Last week, David competed in the regional heats of the NACC National Care Chef of the Year competition after being shortlisted to represent the Northern region.

With just 90 minutes on the clock and a strict budget, David prepared a delicious 2-course meal designed specifically with residents' needs in mind.

While first and second place have already been awarded, two additional chefs will soon be selected to join the finalists in October — and we’ve got our fingers crossed for David!

👏 Well done, David, it’s an incredible achievement to reach this stage, and we’re so proud of him!

🎉 Great news to share from Devonshire House! 🎉

Devonshire's Head Chef, Clare Broadbent, competed in the South West Regional Heats of the NACC Care Chef of the Year competition — and she won! 🏆👏

Clare wowed the judges with her stuffed rabbit saddle with allotment vegetables and fondant potatoes, followed by a chocolate pudding with raspberries. Sounds delicious!

🌞 What a weekend at Abigail Lodge! 🌞

Their Summer Fair last weekend was a huge success, and we’re thrilled to announce they raised an incredible £2,565! 🎉

A huge well done to the Activity Team and everyone involved in pulling off the special day! From the stalls to the delicious food, the bouncy castle, and the friendly animals in the petting zoo, there was something for everyone — and plenty of smiles all around! 😊

Residents at Woodlands Care Grp Westhoughton had the chance to get up close with snakes, lizards, spiders, and more - and they were so brave! There were plenty of laughs, a few surprised faces, and lots of curiosity as we learned all about these fascinating creatures. A huge thank you to Curious Critters for such a unique experience! 🦎🐍🕷

Our residents had a lovely time picking strawberries, a perfect way to enjoy the outdoors and the fruits of our garden! Just in time to enjoy them as Wimbledon wraps up! 🎾🍓

These sweet little pups melted hearts all around with their tiny cuddles, tail wags, and puppy kisses. Our residents couldn’t stop smiling, and neither could we! Moments like these bring so much joy and warmth 🥰

Residents from Barrington Lodge Care Home enjoyed a wonderful trip to Hopetown Railway Museum. From exploring historic locomotives to reminiscing about days gone by, everyone had a brilliant time soaking up the sights and stories of the railway’s past.
