To support this we have reissued guidance and information posters and residents have been engaging in conversations and fun activities, like baking and crafts, who would have thought Data protection could be so fun!

Burns Night Celebrations at The Granby Care Home 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Granby Care Home celebrated Burns Night in true Scottish style! Residents enjoyed a delicious lunch of traditional haggis and tatties, accompanied by a wee whisky (or two!) 🥃

The afternoon continued with a History Club session, learning more about the life and poetry of Robert Burns, followed by a fun Burns Night quiz. A fantastic day of Scottish traditions!

Today is Brew Monday did you share a cuppa and conversation? 🫖

Brew Monday is an annual awareness initiative created by the Samaritans as a positive alternative to Blue Monday, often labelled the “most depressing day of the year” encouraging people to connect with others over a warm drink to combat loneliness and lift spirits.

At our homes, there is always a warm brew and friendly chat on offer ☕

The team at Ty Gwynno Care Home have challenged themselves to raise funds for a community defibrillator which will be a vital piece of life saving equipment for the home and the surrounding community of Hopkinstown near Pontypridd.

The team will be planning a range of fundraising activities throughout the year, the next event is a car boot, if you're local please show your support. We wish them the best and hope the defibrillator will be installed soon. 🫶

🔥 Wear layers to trap heat in.
☕️ Drink plenty of hot drinks and eat warm, nutritious meals.
🏋️‍♀️ Move around indoors every hour to keep circulation going.
⚠️ If going outside be cautious and walk safely in sturdy shoes.

We are delighted to share that Abigail Lodge's duo Activity team made up of two Rebeccas have both been awarded Employee of the month for December! 🎉

Throughout December they brought joy and magic into the home, creating special moments for residents and relatives. They have also supported a local charity with a Toy Appeal this festive season, donating toys to those in need.
