This week, our care homes have been celebrating Time for a Cuppa Week in aid of Dementia UK bringing people together over a comforting cup of tea. ☕

The tea parties have been thoroughly enjoyed and we have also raised funds for a charity close to all of our hearts. A huge thank you to all of our incredible teams for their hard work and support in making these special moments possible.

We have a busy month ahead! As well as hosting 'Time for a Cuppa' tea parties for Dementia UK some of our homes have committed to walking 31 miles this month.

Residents and care teams will come together to walk a little every day and aim to reach 31 miles in the month. Good luck everybody and well done! 👏

We’re pleased to invite family members to a supportive and informative Understanding Dementia – Family Talk Session 💬

📅 Wednesday 27th May
🕒 Morning or Afternoon (your preference)
⏱️ Duration: Approx. 1½ hours

This session will focus on understanding dementia and how it can affect your loved one, including:
• Changes in memory, behaviour, and communication
• Practical ways to support and respond with confidence
• Guidance on providing reassurance and reducing anxiety

There will also be time to ask questions and share experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment.

All family members are welcome, and we would be especially pleased if residents’ relatives are able to attend.

If you would like to join us, please let us know your preferred time (morning or afternoon).

Clumber House Care Home hosted their first Dementia Café. Our Care Support Manager, Steven, delivered a presentation on dementia, sharing valuable insights with attendees.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, these gatherings are a wonderful opportunity to connect, gain support, and deepen understanding. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🫖☕️
