Checking your blood pressure at home is a simple way to keep track of your heart health.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, so regular monitoring can help detect problems early. Try to check your blood pressure at the same time each day, while relaxed and seated comfortably.

If your readings are consistently high, speak to one of our healthcare providers for advice.

Maternal mental health is just as important as physical health during and after pregnancy.

Many mothers experience feelings of anxiety, stress, or low mood, and it’s important to know that support is available.

Talking to a healthcare provider, family, or friends can make a big difference. You are not alone, and asking for help is a sign of strength.

Stress Awareness 💚

Stress is something we all experience at times, but when it becomes overwhelming or long-lasting, it can start to affect both your mental and physical health.

You might notice changes such as feeling constantly worried or irritable, struggling to sleep, finding it hard to concentrate, or feeling run-down and low in energy. These are common signs that your body may be under too much pressure.

Taking small steps can make a big difference. Making time to rest, staying active, talking to someone you trust, and asking for support when you need it are all important ways to manage stress.

If stress is affecting your daily life, please don’t struggle alone. We are here to help get in touch with the practice to speak to a GP.

Bowel Cancer Awareness 🚨

Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK, but when it is found early, it is highly treatable.

It’s important to be aware of possible symptoms, which can include blood in your poo, a change in your usual bowel habits such as going more often or having looser stools, ongoing tummy pain or bloating, unexplained weight loss, or feeling unusually tired for no clear reason.

These symptoms don’t always mean cancer, but if you notice anything unusual for three weeks or more, it’s important to get checked.
