🎯 Darts Day at Davenport Manor! 🎯
Today we enjoyed a darts competition with our residents — and it was so much more than just a game!

Not only was there plenty of fun and laughter, but darts also offers some great benefits:
✅ Improves hand-eye coordination
✅ Encourages gentle movement and focus
✅ Boosts confidence and concentration
✅ Brings everyone together for a shared experience

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, a few surprise bullseyes, and lots of encouragement between players. 💙

This afternoon, our residents enjoyed a lovely Diwali celebration filled with sweet treats and a fun craft session! It was a lovely way to mark the Festival of Lights together. 💛✨

We’re always proud to celebrate the many cultures and traditions that make our home so special. Wishing everyone a bright and joyful Diwali!

🎃🧡 A Touch of Autumn Creativity! 🧡🎃

This afternoon we enjoyed relaxing 1-to-1 sessions, creating a beautiful pumpkin flower display! 🌸🍂

It’s amazing what a simple seasonal craft can do – a calming activity, a lovely chat, and a stunning centrepiece to brighten up our entrance. 🍁✨

We love these little moments that make a big difference!

🍁🎨 Pumpkin Craft Day! 🎨🍁

Today at Davenport Manor, our residents got creative with some autumn-themed arts and crafts! Using coloured pencils and plenty of imagination, they made their own paper pumpkins — and we think they look amazing! 🎃🧡

It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon, sharing stories, laughter, and a bit of artistic flair. The pumpkins are now proudly on display, bringing a splash of autumn colour to our home! 🍂😊

Today at Davenport Manor, we embraced the cosy season with a lovely afternoon of baking autumn-themed bread buns.

With fun seasonal shapes, and plenty of smiles, our residents created individual delicious little masterpieces 🍂✨

Balloon tennis continues to be one of our favourite activities. It keeps everyone moving, smiling, and sometimes getting a little competitive too! 😉

Our residents have been getting creative during our arts & crafts session — and look whooo they made!🦉

Using egg boxes, paint, glue, and a whole lot of imagination, we adorable owls. 🖌️✨

It was a lovely session filled with laughter, conversation, and creativity. These handmade owls are now proudly on display!

🎂☕ Macmillan Coffee Afternoon at Davenport Manor. ☕🎂

We had a lovely time hosting our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon today , filled with warm conversations and delicious homemade cakes baked with love! 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, and supported this wonderful cause. Every cuppa and cake slice helps make a difference for those affected by cancer.

We’re still counting up the donations and will share the total amount raised very soon – watch this space! 👀

Today, we had the absolute honour of celebrating a remarkable milestone at Davenport Manor— one of our lovely residents marked his 70th wedding anniversary with his much-loved wife and their wonderful family. ❤️

Their love story is a beautiful reminder of the strength, patience, and joy that comes from a lifetime together. It was a day filled with smiles, cherished memories, and plenty of cake! 🎂✨

Please join us in congratulating this incredible couple on seven decades of love and devotion. 💐

🐾✨ Special Visitor Alert! ✨🐾

Today we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Bobby the therapy dog to our home — and guess what? It was Bobby’s very first ‘job’ as a therapy dog! 🐶💼

He was truly magnificent — calm, gentle, and full of love. Our residents lit up with smiles, cuddles, and stories, and Bobby soaked up every moment like a pro. 💛

A big thank you to Bobby (and his lovely handler Abby) for choosing our home as the starting point of what’s sure to be a wonderful journey spreading joy and comfort.

We’re already counting down the days until his next visit! 🐾💖
