These moments are so important—not just for sparking joy and connection, but for celebrating the unique life and experiences of each individual in our care. 🌟

We feel truly honoured to listen and learn from the incredible lives our residents have lived. 💖

☀️ Summer Vibes at Davenport Manor!🎾🍓

We’ve been making the most of the sunshine by spending time in the garden this week, and what better way to celebrate Wimbledon than with a themed afternoon! 🎾

Our residents enjoyed freshly baked scones topped with jam, cream, and strawberries, all perfectly paired with a glass of our homemade non-alcoholic Pimm’s. 🍰🍹

To top it all off, everyone got involved in a fun Wimbledon-themed quiz, testing their tennis knowledge and sparking lots of laughs and memories! 🎉🎾

A lovely afternoon full of sunshine, smiles, and strawberries!

🎉 Summer Fair Announcement! ☀️

We’re excited to announce that we are busy planning our Summer Fair which will be held on Saturday 30th August! 🗓️

🎟️ As part of the event, we’ll be running our popular Tombola and a bottle stall, we’d love your help! We’re now accepting donations of bottles (wine, soft drinks, water– anything unopened!) and small items suitable for tombola prizes. There will also be a raffle on the day, we are collecting prizes for and reaching out to local businesses.

If you have anything to contribute, please drop it off at Davenport Manor, 170 Bramhall lane SK3 8SB. If you are unable to drop off please call 0161 483 4598 to arrange collection.

🌟 A Fun-Filled Day at Davenport Manor!🌟

Today our residents got moving with a lively armchair exercise session — plenty of smiles, stretches, and even a few dance moves! 💪🪑

Afterwards, we cooled down with a sweet surprise, a delicious Turkish delight tasting session! 🇹🇷🍬 These treats were brought back as a thoughtful gift for our residents, and they absolutely loved trying the different flavours.

It’s always a joy to mix a bit of wellness with a touch of indulgence ! ❤️

Barge Boat Adventure with New Horizons Canal Boat!

What a wonderful day we had cruising along the water on a barge boat! Our residents enjoyed the peaceful views, fresh air, and plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.

It was a lovely way to spend time together, relax, and make some special memories. A big thank you to the crew and our staff for making the trip so comfortable and enjoyable! Thank you to our cook Jacqui for the lovely picnic you packed us off with! Already looking forward to our next adventure!

Our 5 beautiful butterflies have been released!🐛➡️🦋

Our residents have loved watching them grow from tiny caterpillars into vibrant butterflies, and it was such a joy to set them free into the summer sunshine. 🌞🌿

Moments like these remind us of the beauty of nature and the joy of new beginnings. 💛

What a fantastic afternoon we’ve had at the Jolly Sailor! Our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to the local pub for lunch.

We are thrilled to share that our beautiful butterflies have finally emerged! 🐛➡️🦋

Over the past few weeks, our residents have lovingly watched over our tiny caterpillars, witnessing each stage of their transformation. Today, we were filled with joy and wonder as our butterflies took their first flight!

It’s been a magical experience for everyone involved — a reminder of nature’s beauty and the joy of new beginnings. 💛

🖌️🐚 Painting Scallop Shells at Davenport Manor! 🐚🖌️

Our residents had a wonderful time this afternoon getting creative with a lovely activity — painting scallop shells! With brushes in hand and plenty of smiles, we turned simple shells into colourful keepsakes. 🎨😊

It was a peaceful and joyful afternoon, full of conversation, laughter, and artistic flair. Activities like these aren’t just fun — they’re also a great way to relax, express ourselves, and enjoy each other’s company.

We’re so proud of the beautiful artwork our residents created — each shell is as unique as the person who painted it. 💖🌈

Today, we had the absolute honour of celebrating a truly incredible milestone — the 100th birthday of our lovely resident 💐💖

A beautiful day was enjoyed, filled with smiles, laughter, cake, and cherished memories.

To make the occasion even more special, a birthday card from His Majesty The King was received — a proud and touching moment that joy to everyone in the room 👑📬

It’s not every day we get to celebrate a century of life, love, and wisdom. Happy 100th Birthday, You are truly an inspiration to us all. 💯❤️
