We are an inclusive, multi-event, athletics training group, for all ages. Based in Stockport, we train at Woodbank Stadium. Priced at only £4 per session

The coaching and training approach is athlete centred and is focused on developing fundamental movement skills and technique across eight different events.This is achieved through variety, in a constructive, organised, progressive manner, within a FUN, encouraging and positive environment. Running, Jumping and Throwing are the foun

dations on which all Sport is dependent.Therefore, if you see yourself as the next Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah, Robin Van Persie or Andy Murray – a multi-event Athletics approach will help you with your overall development requirements and sporting ambitions. If, however, the aim is to keep fit & healthy; have some fun; be part of a training group and make new friends, then our group offers this as well. Everyone is welcome.

9 Good PBs achieved by the group today at Trafford across a number of different events - Shot, Javelin, Long Jump, High Jump........ Congratulations to all those who achieved PBs and those who competed today for all the right developmental reasons!

Massive Congratulations to Abbie on her Pentathlon PB that helped the Greater Manchester team win the Regional final and send the Junior Girls Team to the Nationals!
Abbie finished in 6th place and was second counter for the team. The day didn't start off great, as Abbie hit the very first hurdle, but recovered really well to finish the race. It could have been an alot better start with a massive PB! I was seriously impressed with how she then proceeded to focus on the next 4 events and produce some excellent performances. I was particularly delighted with her Process in Shot, Long Jump & the 800m in which she won her heat comfortably! Congratulations Abbie from the whole group, really well deserved! See you in Chelmsford!

Congratulations to Rowan (Cheshire) & Will & Arthur (Greater Manchester) who represented their Counties at the ESAA Regional Combined Events finals in the Junior Boy Pentathlon. In what were tricky warm & windy conditions the Boys produced 8 PBs between them on the day!

Sorry No photos from Trafford's Open meeting on Saturday but plenty of success in different forms. William was competing at club level for the first time; Bessie was competing in Shot for the first time and the group achieved 9 PBs on a muggy, warm day! Congratulations Abbie, Imogen, Zari, Bessie, William, Jack, Flynn, Rowan and it was great to see Rhys out there producing a Sprint PB!

Abbie, Imogen & Arthur competed at the Greater Manchester T&F Schools Championships on Saturday. Abbie produced excellent jumps that would have been PBs if on the board; Imogen produced an excellent 1500m PB as a Combined Eventer and Arthur matched his High Jump PB and walked away with the Silver medal in the Junior Boys Competition!
Our Junior group were doing a Park Run Training session and Flynn & Zari produced two excellent PBs!

Day 2 of the Northern T&F Championships and Abbie has put in two really solid performances in the Hurdles & Shot and is currently competing in her third event of the day in the U15 Girls Long Jump. Arthur has just produced a good PB in the 80m hurdles and a fantastic PB of 1m 60cm in the High Jump that has made him the Northern Bronze medalist in the Event!!!!!

It is always a very proud moment to be selected to represent your County in athletics. Abbie, Rowan and Arthur traveled to York to represent their county in single events as Combined Eventers and as Combined Eventers, along with Will, they have been selected to compete in the Regional Combined Events Championships for either Cheshire or Greater Manchester! They follow in the footsteps of a long list of athletes from our training group.

Well deserved for what they put into the Sport and Congratulations to you all!

Extremely Proud that we have 3 Combined Events athletes representing their County today at the intercounties in York! Not being achieved through early specialisation.....that would be easy to do! Congratulations Abbie, Rowan & Arthur!

We also have athletes competing at the Trafford medal meeting today and Jack has got us off to a good start with a PB in Long Jump, despite the weather! Two excellent PBs by Imogen & Bella in the Hurdles!.......and the PBs continue to roll in despite the weather Bessie with two in the High Jump and 800m, Will with one in the High Jump...........is there more to come this afternoon!!??.........Excellent PB by Sam in the Javelin! Well deserved after the work we put in on Wednesday!!! Second PB by Will in the 200m! Second PB for Jack in the 150m and Bella in the Shot! Overall a very good PB haul across a variety of events!

Day 2 : Cheshire & Greater Manchester Track & Field Championships:

Robbie has got us off to a cracking good start by becoming the U13 Boy Cheshire Shot put Champion with a massive personal PB! Robbie added a Gold medal in the Discus and another one in the Javelin! We have a triple Cheshire throws Champion! For good measure and to ensure nobody thinks he is early specialising in throwing he achieved a great bronze through a PB in High Jump!!!!

Great to see the Stockport Harrier vests on the podiums, not through early specialisation but as Combined Eventers following a Long Term athlete development model!

Good Bronze medal achieved in the High Jump by Arthur! Rowan got Silver in the U15 Boys Shot Competition. Pretty good going considering they are both only in the first year of their age group!

Imogen got a really good PB in the 1500m and we have a Greater Manchester U15G Long Jump Champion in Abbie who produced a good PB as well!

Our U11s were given a chance to gain more valuable Competition experience in the Cheshire Championships and well done to Zari (silver) & Jack (Bronze) for podium finishes in the Long Jump!

The Cheshire & Greater Manchester T&F Championships are taking place over the weekend and we've already bagged a couple of medals as Combined Eventers. Good PB in the shot by Abbie to get the Bronze and Arthur a good Silver in the U15 Boys Long jump!
Update:
Rowan has got a good PB in the 100m; Imogen achieved a Big PB in the shot; Bella achieved a PB in the 75m and a PB in Long Jump to get the Bronze medal.

The group has two Champions! Bella achieved a PB and Gold medal in the U13 Greater Manchester Girls Shot Competition and Robbie achieved a PB and Gold medal in the U13 Cheshire Boys Discus Competition!

Congratulations to all who competed on Day 1 and I look forward to the feedback & Photos from Day 2!

Last weekend we were producing PBs in Power/middle distance events at the Lancashire Combined Events Championships and this weekend we are producing PBs through our Park run endurance training. Great LONG TERM DEVELOPMENT taking place.......Early specialisation isn't taking place here!
