Practice Update – Delamere Surgery

Due to unprecedented levels of staff sickness, we will need to close Delamere Practice tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 20 January).

Morning appointments at Delamere will go ahead as planned.

Our other practice sites will remain fully open, and our phone lines will be operating as normal.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding while we ensure we continue to operate safely.

World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week 18 to 24 November.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines, making infections harder to treat and increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness and death. As a result of drug resistance, antibiotics and other antimicrobial medicines become ineffective and infections become increasingly difficult or impossible to treat.

We all need to help reduce this threat, by exercising hand hygiene and not using antibiotics inappropriately.
