Classes take place every week during November and you wold be most welcome to come along.

My Dru Yoga classes use soft, flowing movements, together with breathing and deep relaxation to encourage both the mind and body to repair and renew.

While the yoga for back care classes offers gentle movements to help you to develop mobility, flexibility and strength as well as deep relaxation to encourage easing of any muscle tension or tightness.

Pay as you go and class passes are available at both of these classes.

The time around menopause can feel like your body and mind has turned against you. But what if we shifted that?

My 4-week programme isn't about "fixing" menopause. It's about learning to move with it, rest through it, befriend it and come out the other side feeling more like yourself – not less.

Letting go...

Just like the trees have the wisdom to let go of their leaves in autumn, the autumn could inspire you to let go of thoughts and beliefs that are no longer serving you.

The process of letting go is an invitation to check in with yourself and re-prioritise what is truly important to you. It is a process of clearing the way and making space so that you able to give more time and attention to the things that really do matter.

So pause for a moment and think.

What gets in the way of you connecting with the things that are really important to you?

What could you let go of to change this?

If you feel lost at the thought of how to start creating space into your life, then please message me and ask about coaching. I will soon be announcing coaching packages to let go of busyness and move towards joy.

Today is world menopause day and this years theme is lifestyle medicine. This theme really resonates with me as I believe that much of good health originates with the lifestyle we live and menopause is no different.

Menopause can be the catalyst that brings our lifestyle into focus, and the changes that we make during this time not only benefits us now but can set up the foundations for healthy aging.

If you feel like you need a lifestyle reset then check out my new course Menopause Reset below.

I am really excited to be offering this new course to support menopausal women.

This course is an invitation to commit to nurturing yourself deeply as you discover techniques and practices to support your mental and physical wellbeing.

Each two hour session focuses on a cornerstone of wellbeing during menopause: managing stress so your body can find balance, resting deeply to support your hormonal health, moving in ways that strengthen and nurture you, and cultivating the self-compassion that carries you through this transition with grace.

Did you know?

"Estrogen has a role in managing the levels of cortisol in the body, so as estrogen levels fluctuate or drop, we're less able to regulate cortisol levels as effectively, and feel more stressed as a result. Also, the adrenal glands have a secondary function in producing estrogen when the ovaries are slowing down, but those poor adrenals will always prioritise stress hormones first, so estrogen drops further. And we feel more stressed."
- Kate Codrington, Second Spring

This is why it is so beneficial to reduce stress around menopause. Being more sensitive to stress often requires new strategies and approaches to managing stress. Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep is a great way to soothe the nervous system. and is just one of the areas I will be focusing on during my upcoming Menopause Reset course.

Today is the autumn equinox and the first day of autumn.

Around the equinox the daylight hours and night-time hours are the same. It is a point of balance in the year between light and dark. It marks the culmination of this years growing season. It also marks the time when our focus naturally turns more inwards and reflective.

Keep a look out in your inbox for my next Soul Offerings newsletter. If you are signed up to receive my newsletter is on its way to you today.

Around the time of the equinox there is a balance between night-time and daytime hours.

Taking inspiration from this I invite you to take a moment to reflect on when your life feels in balance.

How do you know when you are living your life in balance?

I know that there are several things that I do which help me to stay feeling in balance. These are spending time in nature, moving my body, and making enough time for rest and sleep.

What do you know that works for you?

If you want to learn how to slow down and relax more you might be interested in my Breathe easy, rest deeply 4 week course starting on October the 3rd. Click on the link below for more details.

Celebrating abundance...

Yoga classes restart this week and over the next few weeks we will be following the theme of abundance. With so much abundance available in nature the moment it is the ideal time to explore it in your yoga practice.

So often we see abundance in terms of money and possessions but true abundance is much more than this.

Abundance can mean having an abundance of time. And an abundance of health. And an abundance of friendship.

What abundance can you celebrate in your life this week? Let me know in the comments below.

For the last 20 years September has meant the start of the school year. I have always found the energy of the new school year infectious with a sense of freshness and new beginnings. This year however there is no returning to school for my family. I am saying goodbye to that phase of my life and hello to a new phase.

So September still means new beginnings.

My Dru yoga classes are back - who is ready to flow into autumn with grace and strength?
