Cancer touches so many of our lives. Around 1 in 2 of us will develop cancer in our lifetimes. This is not OK.
This year, Breast Cancer Prevention Week (18th - 24th May), is all about EDCs (endocrine disrupting chemicals) the hidden chemicals in everyday products that may be increasing your breast cancer risk.
If you want more information on EDC’s and your risk, then head over to breastcanceruk.org.uk or scan the QR code and take their Breast Cancer Prevention Quiz.

Living Streets National Walking Month in 2026 will take place in May, encouraging people to embrace walking for health and enjoyment. The campaign theme for this year is the challenge, which encourages everyone to incorporate at least 20 minutes of walking into their daily routine.

Bracondale are asking Men, Women AND Children to – and get outside for a walk or wheel each day in May for their own health, wellbeing and enjoyment.
As well as improving our bodies and our mood, leaving the car at home also helps to cut air pollution and make streets safer. That’s why we are encouraging everyone to this May for National Walking Month.

Living Streets will be organising A mass ‘walk out’ for Friday 29 May to mark National Walking Month – will you join them?

Following Sir Chris Hoy's diagnosis with Stage 4 cancer, Tour De 4 was established with a clear purpose: to demonstrate that a Stage 4 diagnosis, while devastating, doesn't define the limits of what's possible.

Chris' vision is to bring together people who have been affected by cancer - whether directly or indirectly - to challenge perceptions, inspire hope and raise vital funds for cancer charities across the UK.
The Tour de 4 is a ride about communities coming together. Ride for Prostate Cancer UK and turn your gears towards challenging perceptions, raising vital awareness and funds, and inspiring hope for everyone affected by cancer.
Don't worry if you are unable to make it to the event as there are also virtual training rides that can be done. Go ahead and check out the link below, and get your peddles moving to raise money for some amazing Cancer charities.

Join Sir Chris Hoy's fundraising charity bike ride aimed at shining a spotlight on Stage 4 cancer diagnosis and demonstrating that it's possible to live well alongside this devastating diagnosis.
