As part of Cataract Awareness Month this June, we were proud to host a special community event right here in Great Underbank, Stockport—bringing awareness, information, and support directly to our local residents.

A big thank you to Michael and his team from , Abie and her team from , and Candy and her team from for joining us on the day. Your dedication to raising awareness about cataracts and sharing expert advice truly made a difference to the people of Stockport.

It was fantastic to see the community engaging, asking questions, and learning more about cataracts—one of the most common causes of sight loss, yet one that is highly treatable with the right care.

As is tradition, the Valli Rally is back, a little earlier than last year, on the 19th of July 2025. The Valli Rally aims to raise awareness and money for Outlookers and is a much-loved event that brings families and communities together.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Adrian: 30 Years of Dedication and Excellence

Today, we take a moment to honor someone truly special — Adrian, who has devoted 30 remarkable years to our practice and the countless patients he's served with care and expertise. His journey is a testament to passion, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to making people see the world more clearly — quite literally.

With a degree as a qualified Dispensing Optician, Adrian has optical care running through his veins. The very foundation of this practice at St. Peter’s Gate was laid by his grandfather, making dispensing specs not just a profession but a proud family legacy. His knowledge and dedication have earned him the trust and admiration of patients and colleagues alike.

On Friday, we celebrated in style, raising a glass to all the years of service, wisdom, and heart he’s poured into this place. From stories shared to smiles exchanged, it was a beautiful reminder of the lives Adrian has touched.
