Today was the final day of our 4day intensive treatment retreat. We are filled with gratitude for the incredible courage, strength and fortitude of our participants as they gave themselves over to trusting the process.

Our final session of day 3 on the 4day intensive treatment retreat, connecting with nature and water.

Not only reflecting on the day, also on the summer solstice. A day of equal parts day and night, light and dark; symbolic on so many levels.

Next week we are 4day intensive treat retreat at our Stockport Centre. We believe in keeping things as simple and straightforward as possible. So, when it comes to looking after your psychological health there are some basic daily steps you can take that are:
1. Easy wins
2. Have a tangible and quick benefit
3. Cumulatively, improve your wellbeing the more you keep doing them.

Simple steps we aim for are:
1. Movement to stimulate a moderate heart rate
2. Minimum of 30mins in morning sunlight
3. Good nutrition
4. Time with people you trust and feel safe around
5. A little time doing something you love ❤️

This week we had the great pleasure to welcome back Wendy and Carlos to SafeHaven. Wendy recently lost her husband Chris Haggan. Chris, along with his good friend Carlos, were both veterans on our first PTSD Treatment Programme back in 2016. Chris served in The Kings Own Royal Border Regiment. 1970 - 1982. At his funeral it was chosen to raise funds for SafeHaven, to fund treatment and help more veterans with PTSD.

We are incredibly grateful for the faith in us. And SafeHaven are matching the amount raised, to double the treatment funding available.

Watch this space for news in the coming weeks on how to apply for treatment.

With our heartfelt condolences to Wendy and Carlos, and our sincere gratitude for the support…. In memory of a great man, Chris Haggan ❤️🙏🏼
