My mantra has always been “Once you have the start, the rest is inevitable”. So why don’t we complete your journey together? There is only one “you”, so why not be the best “you” you can be? So what brings you here? For some people hypnotherapy is a last resort – something to try when all else has failed. Others find they have a good idea what is troubling them but the thought of being placed under scrutiny to explain it is overwhelming. Some people have lived with their issues for so long they simply put up with them. We’re living in extraordinary times. Tasks that used to be routine and mundane are now difficult and challenging. We can all see how stretched our hard working Doctors and Nurses are and a lot of us are choosing to live with our difficulties rather than bother our own GP. Hypnotherapy is an effective alternative treatment, empowering you to take control and regain some much needed self-care. In order to protect those around us we have had to completely change our way of living, but for a lot of people this comes at the cost of rising anxiety and stress. Or what used to be a minor phobia has developed into something a little more problematic. Stress and anxiety are currently the number one mental health issue we are all facing at the moment. Anxiety – that awful feeling of deep dread inside your gut, making you feel like you’re almost existing outside of your own body. You constantly feel sick, you’re unable to concentrate, and things that you used to enjoy no longer bring you happiness. Sleeping doesn’t come as easily as it once did. Stress – that feeling of being completely overwhelmed and almost spinning out of control. It takes away your motivation, which makes it difficult for you to keep on top of things. You find yourself putting off important tasks. For some people this is just the tip of the iceberg with these feelings playing on their mind all the time creating an almost dominating presence. But, it doesn’t have to be this way. So let’s see how I can change that for you. My way of working is to create a safe environment that is relaxed, friendly and easy going. We’ll have a chat and discuss what is bothering you and see where we can make changes to make things better. Hypnotherapy is a bit like guided meditation but is more structured with a specific goal in mind. You will be guided through a series of suggestions that help you to either change the way you deal with a specific issue or how you perceive it. These subtle shifts in perspective are what can bring about positive life altering results. It is a very relaxing and therapeutic experience. So whether you need help getting your anxiety or stress more under control, an extra confidence boost for that important job interview, or you need help shifting those extra post-lockdown pounds, I can help you – scroll down to see all the areas of hypnotherapy I can help you with. In the last few weeks I have helped one client shed their fear of dogs, an intense fear carried since childhood. I have helped another client reduce their fear of public speaking, something that would cause so much nervousness it would cause them to vomit. Another client came to see me to help quit smoking, lose some weight and help with sleep issues.

Subsequent sessions are just £30 each until my hours are complete

I’m nearing the end of my supervision training and am now in a position to take on supervisees to complete my training hours. Sessions can be held online or in person, and I’m able to offer a reduced rate until I qualify.

As a therapist, I work integratively, with a particular focus on trauma, adoption, and neurodivergence.

Had some lovely feedback today from a client... Mental health is often viewed as something that either we have or we don't. We either have 'good' mental health or 'bad' mental health. But let's break free from this binary thinking! Just like maintaining physical health, taking care of our mental well-being is a continuous journey.

Remember, mental health isn't just about dealing with challenges; it's about thriving in every aspect of life. Struggling with sleep? Quality sleep is crucial for our mental health. Try these tips for a better night's rest:

Establish a Routine: Set a consistent sleep schedule to regulate your body's internal clock.

Create a Relaxing Environment: Make your bedroom a tranquil space. Dim the lights, keep it cool, and invest in a comfortable mattress.

Limit Screen Time: Avoid screens before bedtime. The blue light can interfere with melatonin production, affecting your sleep.

Mindful Wind-Down: Engage in calming activities before bed—read a book, practice gentle stretches, or listen to soothing music.
