A New Year search success!

Daniel was searching for his birth Mum with the help of his partner. After searching through records I managed to find half siblings on social media on 3rd of December 2023. Luckily, Daniel’s half brother picked up my message and sent me his Mums email address as she is not on social media. She made contact with myself on 20th of December and was over the moon Daniel wanted to make contact. They met up on New Years Day and spent the full day with Daniel’s birth Mum and 2 half siblings. 🧡

I often get asked where I find out the information I find. My main search engine is Ancestry as I personally find it easy to search and understand the records. For example, if I’m searching for siblings, I can include mothers maiden name and also birth year within 10 years either side of a particular year. As I have the worldwide membership, I have access to all of their records. I also back up my findings by searching local electoral rolls. Once you have names, social media is brilliant for being able to find people.
