On Wednesday last week, Joan enjoyed some one to one time with Nicola shopping at Teesside Park for a new summer wardrobe 👗👕👖

Before they left Joan said to Nicola, "I was born to shop."

Joan enjoyed looking around all the clothes shops picking out what she wanted to buy then chose a cheeseburger for lunch at Asda Cafe 🍔

After shopping they stopped off at Queen's Campus to enjoy afternoon tea and games with some international students who are studying here for a year before going back home to go to university.

Last Tuesday, Alf enjoyed a trip into Stockton on the bus to visit ARC Stockton Arts Centre for their monthly Cinema Club with Teesside Dementia Link Services. The film this month was Blue Hawaii starring Elvis Presley 🎥🎬

He had a lovely afternoon and enjoyed some chocolate from Gail on the way in 🍫

Maddie said, "He's one of the best I've ever heard."

Ann said, "I hope he's coming back again."

Gordon said, "That was good."

Thank you to Joseph from Durham Road Fish Bar for giving us a brilliant deal on our fish and chip feast today for Saint George's Day 🍽

We all loved our lunch and it was nice to have fish and chips from the chip shop with a choice of mushy peas, curry and gravy ❤️

We need numbers today please for any family or friends wishing to join us for lunch. The cost for small fish and chips is approximately £6.50 🍴

Jo and Shelly from Tees Valley Museums joined us this morning on World Art Day to paint pictures of Preston Park 🖌🎨

We enjoyed painting so much that we came back after lunch to finish off our masterpieces 🖼

Yesterday, we had our first gardening club of the year on World Gardening Day and we planted some sunflower seeds 🌻

The race is on now to see who grows the biggest sunflower 🤞

Audrey has enjoyed a trip into town this morning.

After a trip to Specsavers she went to get her shoes re healed and was amazed they could do them while she waited 🥿

We then had a look around and she spoke about how the town has changed over the years.

She bought herself a cream cake 🧁 and said' "I've had a lovely morning and got everything done. Thank you for taking me."

This afternoon we did some flower arranging 💐 Thanks to Sainsbury's Whitehouse Farm for donating them.

Our ladies had a lovely time and think the colours this week are beautiful.

Dot said, "The tulips smell lovely."

Each lady chose their favourite vase to go into their bedrooms ⚘️🌷🌸

We're looking forward to our first gardening club of the year tomorrow afternoon, where we will be planting sunflower seeds 🌻

Next month some of us will be doing an 11 mile sponsored walk around the River Tees raising money for our residents fund and Teesside Dementia Link Services

If you would like to join us please speak to Nicola. Places are £4 per person due to it being an organised walk by the Rotary Club. A certificate will be awarded after the walk for each participant.

We will put some sponsor forms around our home if you would like to sponsor us.

This morning we held our Parkinsons Awareness Day Coffee Morning ☕️

Thank you to the families joining us for a chat with others about Parkinsons as well as every day life. It's nice just to chat and be there to support each other regardless of the theme of the coffee morning 🥰

Thank you to for sending us lots of information booklets for our coffee morning. We have found them very useful.
