The Health MOT is a relaxed, 45-minute assessment where we take time to understand you. We’ll check how your body moves, where pain or stiffness might be holding you back, and what your personal goals are. From there, from there you'll have a personal plan with expert coaching to progress you safely, at your own pace, with the right balance of strength, mobility and confidence so you never feel lost when you walk through the doors. It's not just a gym, it's a space to be you with no egos and no pressure. Just real coaching, real results, and a community of women who get it. Every session you can leave feeling better than when you walked in.

Why does the BEST knee pain advice often lead to people doing less… not getting better?

People with knee arthritis are often told
it’s 😩 ‘wear and tear’ or
🦴 ‘Bone on bone’

Then the advice is to rest,
avoid activity or certain movements
That could make it worse…

So then they stop moving
They’re walking less
They’re less active.

And slowly… they do and become less.

The problem is, doing less could be making things worse…

The knee becomes:
👎 Stiffer
👎 Weaker
👎 More painful
👎 More sensitive

When it gets worse, and it will
You do even less, you’ll try to manage
But gradually you avoid stairs
Avoid kneeling or long walks
And life gets smaller

Then you go back to doctors and guess what
Now they’re saying it’s your weight
Because your joints can’t take it.

Now you need to lose weight while not being active 🤡

Is it any wonder people struggle…

Here’s the thing: weight matters but not how you think.

It seems like common sense,
The more weight you carry
the more pressure on your knees, right?

Why then do some who are overweight have no pain?

🦵 It’s because of muscle mass
The more you have the more protection

See that cartilage, that bit you lose
Where Dr’s say it’s bone on bone…

That tissue has no blood supply
It’s kept healthy through loading
So when you’re told to rest, to avoid activity
It might be making things worse…

That’s why we almost NEVER advise rest
That's why we focus on progressive loading

That crunch under your feet.
The moment you make the very first prints.

That’s where a lot of people are right now.
Starting again.

But here’s what most miss 👇

They think the problem is
the gym.
the diet.
the plan.

It’s not. It’s them.

I hear it all the time:

🗣️ “I know what to do…”
Knowing what to do and not doing it is the same as not knowing.

🗣️ “I eat healthy but it doesn’t work.”
“Healthy” is a bundled word.
It means ten different things to ten different people.

🗣️ “I can’t do anything because of my arthritis.”
What if your arthritis feels worse because you’re not doing anything? 🫨

Uncomfortable thought.
Worth sitting with now the wine’s gone 🍷

Here’s the truth.

You’re not starting from zero.
You’ve got experience.

You already know:
🤔 where you cocked it up last time
🤨 what actually needs to change
🤩 what might make it stick

Fresh snow doesn’t mean you’re clueless.
It just means the path hasn’t been chosen yet.

This is where this year can be different.

Not a better plan.
Not more information.

But guidance.

Because going it alone in fresh snow means guessing.
Hoping.
Walking in circles.

With guidance, there’s a path.
You move forward.
And one day, you turn around and see how far you’ve come.

Getting her life back

Aging slowly takes from you.
Your energy
Your strength
Your vitality

At first we pass it off,
"it's just a ni**le"
"I'm just tired"

But then things you did without thinking are now a challenge. That's when you start to lose yourself.

Health and fitness in your 20's and 30's looks different in your 40's, 50's and 60's

What that looks like is down to what you do today.

"I don't want anyone to feel like that..."

Most ladies have doubts before they start...Some don't even make it.

We get it.
It's hard. It's scary.
Raising your hand and asking for help.
Walking through the doors.

So many Teesside women stay stuck, struggling, pretending things are ok because they're anxioius.

Even though they need it,
Even though they know it's what they need.
They feel blocked by anxiety, by doubts and procrastination.

Caroline sat outside searching for a excuse before she started. She even told herself she would just do that one session and give in.

But once she'd walked through those doors things changed.

Now she's one of the biggest supporters of new members 🩵

Don't let worry and doubt hold you back.

You don't have to live in pain

Being in pain doesn't always mean that you've got an injury,
and you can have an injury without having any pain whatsoever.

Most think they're broken when they've got pain.
Most struggle for years dealing with pain.
Most are waiting months or years to get seen.

We speak to people every day who're in pain,
who think that they can't do anything because it's going to make the pain worse.

When they realise movement can be key,
they can desensitise and get back to feeling free again.

Does your partner know? 🤫

We've had ladies come to us having never opened with their loved ones on what they're struggling with when it comes to their health.

It's sort of brush under the rug.
They ask: "Are you ok?"
You say: "Yeah, just a bit tired..."

Truth is you both know it's more than that.

And sometimes the reason we want to make a positive change is the barrier that stops us.

"I need to speak with my partner"

When it comes to your fitness, to your health.
You'll need their support to help you stay consistent long after the motivation as gone...

Otherwise you end up just another Yo-Yo Gymie!

Your reasons will change...

When you're younger as Mcfly said:
"It's all about you"

It's all about chasing the right job, the right partner.
It's about focusing only weeks or months ahead. For the holiday, the party or socials.
Nights out are swapped for early nights.

Benders in benidorm are swapped for making memories.

Our view of health changes to.
It's no longer about 6-packs or bikini bodies.
It having the energy, mobility and fitness to keep up with them.

Can't take the gym out the coach...

Some of the worst people to train are coaches...
Or so they say 🤷‍♀️

This week we gave rock climbing? ago at Rockantics Middlesbrough
with a coach showing us the ropes (or holds...).
Thanks Dan. We loved it!

Some holds you have to be a ni**le cripple pro to stay on 🤨
Very humbling, but good to see the strength transfer.
I think for 2026 as a team and community we need some new challenges

Any ideas?
