Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees

Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees We are the independent champion for people who use health and care services across Stockton. Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees is a part of Healthwatch England.

We are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. We listen to what people tell us about the services they use locally and want to know what is working well and what needs to be improved. Where necessary we have a statutory power to go into any health or social care premises to see at first hand the service being delivered. We can talk to patients/carers and to staff members to gather more information. We share the information we gather with those who have the power to make change happen. We also help people find the information they need about services in their area.

Help shape future palliative and end-of-life care.

We’re supporting the NHS in North East and North Cumbria to understand what matters to people when it comes to palliative and end-of-life care.

Talking about death can feel difficult but your views can help improve care and support for people and their families in Stockton-on-Tees.

The survey is anonymous and takes just a few minutes.

In very cold weather, make sure you have sufficient food and medicine and take measures to reduce draughts in your home.

Falls are common, particularly in older people. If you or someone else does fall, try to stay calm and check for injuries before trying to get up.

If they need further help, call 111 or 999. More health information and advice on falls here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/falls/

At Healthwatch, we work closely with partners across health and social care to make sure people’s experiences are heard and acted on.

Our recent reports reflect the voices of local people and were developed through open, transparent processes with provider input throughout.

We remain committed to constructive partnership, honest conversations, and championing the experiences that matter most to our communities.

Listening to people — even when it’s uncomfortable — is how services improve.
