Over £1000 raised from the generic fund raising page, plus hundreds more from individual pages! What an amazing event and to run (jog!) this alongside my two daughters and so many of my amazing members had me bursting with pride.

My SW members are more like family to me and coming together for this wonderful cause made my heart soar.

Some ran, some jogged, some walked: it didn’t matter, what mattered was they showed up and took part.

Roll on next year….

“This is my reason why..

Currently whilst i’m getting my mind ready to hit the button and book in that marathon for next year I’m doing a lot of reading, listening to podcasts and watching other peoples stories on their running journeys in the hope that I can take a little gem from each of them.

Yesterday, whilst watching a video on Instagram a running coach said “you don’t know what your body is capable of until you try” this hit home like a sledgehammer as this week I said to myself I was taking it easy but this made me question why.

Today I decided not to take it easy and went out with the intent of running as quick as I could over the distance I wanted. Look what happened..

I set a new PB and ran each mile under 9 minutes.

The last time I ran this fast (before this last month) was 2020! The only reason I can do it now is thanks to all the support and motivation I get from you all every week. As you can see in the picture my first run when starting my journey was 11:15 per mile and lasted 1.3 miles. There is still a long way to go but I’m happy with my progress.

Everyone will have their own reason why, if you’re not sure what this is yet I would encourage everyone to find it as it makes the journey more meaningful.

The best part of my SW journey has been the IMAGE sessions in class, in my 37 weigh ins I think I’ve missed 2. If you’ve never stayed to class after being weighed please think about doing so as it really does help”— feeling amazing with Adele’s Ingleby Barwick Slimming World.
