We are delighted to announce Mark as our January Employee of the Month!🎊
Mark has been part of the home for over 20 years, first lending his skills by helping with building repairs on a part-time basis while working as a landscaper. In 2016, he joined the Lindens full-time in a maintenance role which he has continued to grow in since then. Today, Mark holds several vital positions within the home, including Head of Maintenance, Head of Health and Safety, Fire Marshal and In-house Trainer.
Over the years, Mark has become someone we all rely on, not just for his skills, but for his knowledge and steady presence. He makes sure the home is safe, well looked after, and running smoothly for our residents, visitors, and staff. On a day-to-day basis, Mark’s duties are vital in keeping the home, and all of us, safe and secure.
He carefully monitors compliance, carries out regular checks, and ensures procedures are always followed to protect each of us. He oversees fire safety checks, equipment maintenance, and drills, all while staying calm and prepared. As our In-house Trainer, he also supports staff by delivering training, sharing his knowledge to help everyone feel confident and safe in their roles. He keeps a friendly aura and is always happy to answer questions and offer guidance to support colleagues whenever needed.
His commitment over the years has made a real difference to the home, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does. Mark, all your hard work is greatly appreciated by us all. We’re fairly certain the building wouldn’t stand up straight without you. Thank you for all you do and congratulations!🏆
