🧠 Meningitis is a medical emergency — our community needs to know the signs.

This illness can become life‑threatening within hours. Recognising symptoms early and acting fast can save a life. Please read and share.

⚠️ Symptoms to Watch For
These can appear suddenly and in any order:

🌡️ High temperature

🤢 Vomiting

🤕 Severe headache

🔦 Sensitivity to bright light

🧍‍♂️ Stiff neck

❄️ Cold hands and feet

😴 Extreme tiredness, confusion, or difficulty waking

🔴 Rash that doesn’t fade when pressed with a glass

⚡ Seizures

In babies, also look for:

🍼 Poor feeding

😢 Unusual or high‑pitched crying

🧸 Floppy or stiff body

🟣 Bulging soft spot on the head

🚨 What To Do If You Notice Any Symptoms
Act immediately. Do not wait for all symptoms to appear.

Call 999 or go straight to A&E if you suspect meningitis or sepsis.

Trust your instincts — if something feels seriously wrong, get urgent help.

A rash is not always present, so don’t rely on it.

🌍 World Kidney Day – Thursday 12 March 2026

Kidney disease is far more common and serious than most people realise — over 7 million people in the UK are living with it, often without symptoms in the early stages. It can affect anyone, and the impact on daily life, work, relationships and wellbeing can be huge.

Kidneys keep your whole body healthy: they clean your blood, regulate blood pressure, activate vitamin D, and help prevent anaemia. When they stop working, the consequences are life‑changing — and there is no cure.

This World Kidney Day, join the campaign and help bust the myths.

👉 Share the symptoms
👉 Encourage people at risk to get tested
👉 Spread the facts
👉 Support the charities helping patients every day

Together we can raise awareness, challenge stigma and make kidney health a priority.
