Today’s outreach sessions have been focused on understanding our own feelings and emotions. Shelley, our therapy tortoise is a great way to explain to the young people how people can look hard on the outside, but there is a lot we can’t see under her shell!

We love the job we do and feedback like this is so rewarding ……

Sally, Chloe and the 2 wonderful guinea pigs visited our school last week. The warmth, knowledge and compassion from the facilitators was wonderful; making our young people feel immediately at ease. We have a young person who has selective mutism and does not come across to school, however, she loved the animal therapy session and stayed for the entire hour, during which time she used her voice to speak to Sally about her hobbies and interests; something which has never happened with other staff here before. The therapy session had a way of making our young people feel heard, supported and cared for, whilst having the comfort and joy from the animals. I cannot recommend the company enough. From start to finish, I've had incredible communication with Jane, the owner, enabling seamless organisation of the sessions. Thank you to you all, we can't wait for the next 3 sessions.

Hi everyone 👋
We’re putting the feelers out to see how many families would be interested in a February half-term club.

Our HAF clubs will run as normal during Easter, Summer and Winter, however funding is not available for February half-term.

If there is enough interest and we go ahead, the details would be:
• Cost: £20 per child
• Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
• Food: Children will need to bring a packed lunch

The day would include a carousel of activities such as:
🐾 Animal Petting
🐴 Pony Grooming
🌲 Forest Crafts
🖐 Sensory Play
🍃 Fun in the Forest

Please comment below to register your interest. If we have enough responses, we’ll look at running the club and will share further details.

🐴 Healing Through Connection 🐾

Animals have an incredible ability to help young people feel safe, calm, and understood. Animal-assisted and equine therapy offer powerful support for emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

✨ Benefits include:
✔ Builds trust, empathy, and emotional awareness
✔ Reduces anxiety and stress
✔ Improves confidence and self-esteem
✔ Encourages communication and positive relationships
✔ Supports emotional regulation through non-judgemental interaction

Working alongside animals — especially horses — helps individuals develop calm focus, resilience, and a deeper understanding of themselves and others.

🌿 Sometimes the best therapy doesn’t feel like therapy at all.
