Long post alert: weight watchers, slimming world, Atkins, keto⦠all fad diets and all my worst nightmare when someone says theyāre following that diet plan or theyāve followed it before.
In my experience they create unhealthy relationships with food⦠good food, bad food, counting syns, points, eating as much as you want of āfree foodsā and changing that mindset is incredibly hard to do.
Weight watchers and slimming world consultants donāt have any nutrition qualifications aside from the short company training that is provided⦠which after years of courses, training, research and thousands of pounds spent to get to this level in an industry that has conflicting information thrown out all the time makes the job as a personal trainer so much harder!
There are foods that are better than others and some have a better nutritional value than others. Better fats, better sugars, better cholesterolā¦. But variation to your diet and a balance between healthy foods and the foods that arenāt as healthy is absolutely okay!!
Enjoy your food, fresh cooked food, the occasional takeaway, snacks that you enjoy but remember balance and consistency is key!!
The more consistently you have crap food, the more consistently you feel crap and wonāt get the body and health you are after. The more consistently you eat good foods, the more consistently you feel good and will make your way towards the health and the body you want!
