April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Throughout the month Stoke-on-Trent City Council will be sharing content about consent, what s*xual assault is and support available. First up, let's cover some key consent facts:

ℹ️ Consent is key to all s*x and s*xual contact, s*x without consent is s*xual assault.
✅ Consent needs to be an enthusiastic yes.
🧠 People need to understand what they are agreeing to.
🤷 “Maybe” or “I’m not sure” do not mean someone is consenting.
🍻 If someone is drunk, high, or doesn’t understand what they’re agreeing to, they can’t consent.
