This week is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week (19–25 January 2026), reminding us how important HPV vaccination and regular cervical screening (smear tests) are in preventing cervical cancer.

HPV vaccine protects against the virus causing most cervical cancers.
Cervical screening checks for HPV and abnormal cells, saving around 5,000 lives a year in the UK.
All women aged 25 to 64 are invited for cervical screening every 5 years. Everyone with a cervix should go for cervical screening.
Please attend your screening when invited. 💙

Please note our opening times over Christmas and New Year:

✅Christmas Eve – Orchard Surgery will be OPEN 8.00am – 6.30pm
Endon Surgery will close at 1pm, and the telephones will transfer to the out of hours service from 4.30pm.
❌ Christmas Day (25 Dec) CLOSED
❌ Boxing Day (26 Dec) CLOSED
✅ New Year’s Eve – Orchard Surgery will be OPEN 8.00am – 6.30pm
Endon Surgery will close at 1pm, and the telephones will transfer to the out of hours service from 4.30pm.
❌ New Year’s Day (1 Jan) CLOSED
✅ We will be open as usual on Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th, and Friday 2nd.

Please be aware that a one-way system is currently in operation on Knypersley Road, starting from the traffic lights.

However, when exiting the car park, you must turn left due to the traffic restrictions.
