Hi, my name is Zhenka Bowers and for the past 20 years I’ve studied and experienced many types and modalities of therapy and healing. This was born from an intense passion to help others and also to heal myself, the traditional path of ‘the wounded healer’. The different array of therapies out there right now is overwhelming, confusing and hard to make sense of- therapy too has it’s own age of fas
hion. One year CBT, the next mindfulness and so on it goes and changes. My own studies began initially with the traditional talking therapies, their core principles connected with me but I quickly became frustrated with there limitations. Then it was NLP, hypnotherapy, EMDR, somatic work and perhaps for myself profound shamanic experiences and healing. Don’t misunderstand, all these modalities have their place and purpose and we all need different things at different times. There are many different paths that lead to the summit. It has to be a personal and intuitive choice as to which therapy is the right one for you. I have though, been extremely impressed by the depth, efficacy and profound potential offered by Root Cause Therapy. So much so that I will be offering this as the core of my private practice to my clients. I’ve been extremely privileged to have found a wonderful teacher and beautiful person in Melissa Hiemann. For the last 8 years Melissa has poured her heart and soul into creating Root Cause Therapy and it is a body of work which I am proud to be a part of and now able to pass onto others. Root Cause Therapy is a regressive therapy – it is not easy work. It takes courage and vulnerability to turn towards the pain and traumas of our past. To process and resolve the emotional pain and events of our past, to integrate the parts of ourselves that we have suppressed, denied or rejected and for some, tried to escape from their whole lives. Ultimately it is incredibly worth it. We become authentic and finally able to love ourselves and all our wonderful imperfections and strengths. I’ve always viewed the therapeutic process through the lens of ‘What’s happened to you?’ rather than ‘What’s wrong with you?’ as such Root Cause Therapy is effective for depression, anxiety, numerous mental health issues and particularly trauma, as well as spiritual/personal development. If you or someone you know feels drawn to this type of inner work then please don’t hesitate to email me and go over to my website - www.beingyourootcausetherapy.com
For all of you that have taken the time to read this, my very best thoughts and wishes - Zhenka
