Business update, please read‼️

Firstly, as I am sure many of you have noticed I have been very quiet on my business accounts for a while! And I apologise for this! The past few months have been super busy with planning our wedding, becoming Mr & Mrs Swaby and starting to prepare for our new addition who is due in November🤩

I am still super busy in the clinic and there is no sign of me stopping yet! But I do ask that you bear with me at times as working full time, running a business, being a newly wed and pregnant is not for the faint hearted!

Please as always, if you would like to book an appointment, drop me a message. I am booking up for July already! I am not updating my availability as often, mostly due to me being so busy but I will always do my best to fit clients in.

Thankyou again to all my lovely clients for keeping me so busy, your continued support is much appreciated🤍

Hello All!!

Firstly, apologies for the recent radio silence! I have been kept very busy in the clinic which is great!
This is my last remaining availability before I have a weeks leave for a special day😅These appointments will likely go very quickly so if you’d like to book in please drop me a message!
Also, just a final very polite reminder, I am a full time NHS Physiotherapist and the business I do additional to this during my evenings and weekends. I am so grateful to be so busy, and so proud of the reputation AJS Rehabilitation has built but please bear with me at times. I always do my best to accommodate everyone but it may sometimes take me a little longer to reply to messages!

Maintenance massages are essential for overall health and wellbeing. You may leave your massage feeling great and then wonder why you need to maintain the benefits gained- here’s why:

- Reduces Muscle Tension and Relaxation: Regular massage helps to release physical tension, which can lead to feelings of relaxation and reduced stress. This can improve mood, sleep quality, and overall sense of well-being.
- Improves Flexibility and Range of Motion: Massage helps to lengthen and soften muscles, tendons, and connective tissue, increasing flexibility and range of motion. This can improve athletic performance, reduce injury risk, and enhance overall mobility.
- Enhances Circulation and Lymphatic Drainage: Massage stimulates blood flow and lymphatic circulation, which helps to remove waste products, reduce inflammation, and promote healthy cell growth.

Post-sports massage care is vital to maximise the benefits of the treatment and promote recovery.
Here’s some key guidelines to follow:
- Stay hydrated (this helps with the removal of toxins post massage)
- Rest and recovery (avoid intense physical activity for 24 hours to allow your body time to absorb the effects of the massage)
- Stretching (gentle stretching can help maintain looseness achieved from massage)
- Combine massage with other recovery practices such as foam rolling (my favourite), yoga or mobility work!
- Schedule regular massages to maintain the benefits and address ongoing muscle issues!

It is also normal to feel a little sore after a deep tissue sports massage, especially if it has been targeting specific muscle knots or tightness. This is due to muscle manipulation breaking down adhesions, releasing tension and increasing blood flow. Deep massage can also cause temporary inflammation and release toxins such as lactic acid which can cause temporary discomfort.

2024 over and out!🫡
It has been a truly amazing year for AJS Rehabilitation, I have seen many clients both old and new, introduced my new treatment of dry cupping and continued to expand my business! I am so proud of my small business this year and the continued client satisfaction which is the most important thing to me!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year and looking forward to seeing many of you in 2025! Next year is going to be a big one both on a personal and business basis and I can’t wait🤍
