A joint meeting today, introducing the current participants on the to the previous group (led by the such a kindhearted soul Anthony Jenkinson ) who set up the group meeting at the wonderful The Cafe Fenton who always deliver the best food and hot drinks, making us all feel so very welcome.

It was a good few hours catching up and talking about the opportunities currently available and planning the next steps over Easter (as we the group are off) and habits can drop off, however the introduction of this group can now offer a new opportunity to reach out.and a sense of accountability to keep going and building momentum towards achieving those goals! ✨️

A wonderful Tea & Toast this morning at St Francis Church with thanks to Father David.

We had a mini Raffle on with prizes homegrown from the Walk Talk Action Retreat's willow harvest we had some beautiful Easter wreaths made by our wonderful volunteers!!! 🥰

Why is our Tea & Toast so important for our community?

We are able to signpost to reputable organisation who deliver some incredible opportunities but not only this we are able to deliver our Ten step programme expertise to the people who need it most.

We signed 2 people up to the Wellbeing Workshop at Keele University Physiotherapy Clinic recommended Andys Man Club and found some local meetings for participants to attend. It was also great to hear how some people are getting on with their goals and weekly steps.

We also explained about Longton going for the Town of Culture award after attending the meeting with at the Town Hall last night. Networking with several organisations including: Longton Community Partnership , Launch It , Stoke-on-Trent City Council , , British Ceramics Biennial BCB, , The Community Cast amongst many others. Events like these not only help us build our trusted networks but also provide opportunities for everyone who we work with.

Great to see everyone! Now go and enjoy the sunshine....! (Before it goes in haha)

Our Wilderness Walk with Walk Leader Lee. This was even more special as we had two of our 10 Step Programme participants join the walk 🧡Here's a lovely reflection:

"Another fantastic walk today and it was lovely to see some new faces joining us to experience a full morning of walking in the wilderness.

Spring has definitely arrived and there were lots of reminders of this as we journeyed through a mixture of rolling forest tracks, gently weaving woodland trails, and scenic farmland landscapes across public rights of way.

Heavy rain overnight turned both waterfalls on today's route into an even more impressive sight as we stood nearby to appreciate the sound of the force.

Our impromptu tea break took place on some fallen pine trees where we were accompanied by a busy woodpecker right above us. These are the memorable encounters in nature that you can't plan for and they always add a really powerful dimension to these walks.

It's always good to lead people out into nature, far away from the distractions of modern life, and the feedback from everyone after today's adventure was incredible! I'm already looking forward to our next Wilderness Walk on March 27th."
