Spring has sprung!! 🌼🌾🌞

In our art for wellbeing session. the group drew the flowers which were kindly donated by The Community CAN - Social Supermarket today.
They went on to paint them with watercolours.

ABLE had a great morning crafting bug houses with MAC Education

The group sanded, assembled and painted their bug houses.

🍎Yesterday Vicky, Lucy and Emma went to give a talk at St Margaret Ward's career event 📒

3 year 7 classes got to hear all about ABLE, find out what a learning disability is and bust some myths about learning disabilities and completing a small task!

We are so proud of Vicky and Lucy for coming along and sharing their stories!

Mitchell Arts Centre is so proud to announce its award of £98, 280 from The National Lottery Community Fund

Funding will support a new programme of MAC community days that offer accessible film and crafts fortnightly. MAC community days will be BSL interpreted and audio described! 👏

We are proud to be partnering with North Staffs Pensioners’ Convention/ Grey Power NS, ABLE Stoke, Staffordshire Sight Loss Association who will be paving the way on better ways that we can serve the community!

Thank you to Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID who came down to help us share our news! And VAST for your valuable bid training!

We are excited for the opportunity this funding will bring, the people it will bring together and the barriers we will combat!

🖊🗒 Local poet Nick Degg joined the group today penning a special 10 year anniversary poem!

The group are all really proud of their watercolour paintings, trying new things each week and growing in confidence every week.
