⏰DON'T FORGET TO COLLECT YOUR MEDS⏰

If you're one of our regular patients and have received a text message over the last few days, please collect your medication in the next 3 working days.

It's important to collect your prescription medication as prescribed to avoid disrupting your treatment plan and worsening your condition.

Here are some things to consider:

Not collecting your medication can make your symptoms worse and delay treatment for others.

Healthcare professionals use your medication to monitor the effectiveness of your treatment.

Prescribing medication uses healthcare resources, so not collecting it can be a waste.

Please collect your meds on time and help us to ensure the continuity of your treatment.

Tick the Right Box ✅

🛑Important Changes to NHS Prescription Exemptions

In England, you must pay for NHS prescriptions unless you qualify for free prescriptions or can tick an exemption.

Key Dates to Remember:

• Saturday, 5 April 2025: Tax credit payments by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) are ending.

• After this date, tax credit exemption certificates will no longer entitle you to free NHS prescriptions.

What You Need to Know:

If you are receiving tax credits, you will be transitioned to Universal Credit, which does not automatically cover health costs.
To continue receiving free NHS prescriptions, you must meet the Universal Credit criteria or qualify under another exemption.

Steps to Take:

1. Verify Eligibility: Always check your eligibility before claiming to avoid a Penalty Charge Notice from the NHS, which can be up to £100.

2. Update Your Exemption Status: If your circumstances change, promptly update your prescription charge exemption status with the pharmacy to avoid fines from the NHS Business Services Authority.

3. Tick the Correct Box: Ensure the correct box is ticked, whether by yourself or someone on your behalf, to avoid incorrect claims.

For More Information:

Visit the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) website for additional details.

Violets are blue.
Why should your heart age,
Matter to you? ♥️

If your heart age is older than your actual age, you could be at increased risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

We can review your heart health by carrying out a blood pressure check for free at our Pharmacy.

Did you know, we now deliver the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service🙂

This service allows our Pharmacists to hold private consultations to initiate patients on a contraceptive medication, or continue their existing supply, without needing to speak to a GP or calling the surgery.

This can save you - the patient - a lot of time and makes the overall supply much easier.

The Pharmacy Contraception Service is free and totally confidential. Unless you give permission, the pharmacist will not tell anyone – not even your GP.
