As part of the Active Partnerships Network, we work with communities, other charities and voluntary organisation, local authorities and sports clubs to create more opportunities for activity. 🚨 Don’t miss out – final spaces available!

After a brilliant last session where 22 professionals became ambassadors, we’re excited to be running the next ‘This Mum Moves’ Ambassador Training this Friday.

Delivered in partnership with the Active Pregnancy Foundation and the Institute of Health Visiting (iHV), this half-day online session is perfect for anyone supporting women during pregnancy or after birth. It’ll help build your confidence, knowledge and skills to have meaningful conversations about physical activity.

You’ll also get access to practical tools, ongoing support, and be part of a network continuing this work locally with opportunities to share your learning with colleagues too.

We’ve already got a great mix of people joining us from family hubs, supported accommodation, women’s refuges and health service. 💙

If you or your organisation would benefit, there’s still time to get involved!

Last week, we were proud to host the first Move Your Way Festival, bringing together girls from across Stoke-on-Trent for a day full of activity, movement and creativity 💖

Girls got stuck into a range of activities including cricket, netball, Zumba, cheerleading, aerial hoop and circus skills, with lots of encouragement and support along the way.

The smoothie bike was a real highlight 🚴‍♀️🍓 with girls using pedal power to make their own fresh smoothies!

Alongside the activities, girls also took part in a workshop focused on building confidence and self-esteem.

This day was shaped by what girls told us matters to them: feeling comfortable, supported, and able to try different ways of being active.

With the Youth Sport Trust highlighting that girls are less likely than boys to achieve 60 minutes of daily activity, Move Your Way is all about helping girls find movement they enjoy.

✨Move Your Way is part of the This Girl Can campaign, led by Sport England.✨

A big thank you to all the girls and schools who took part, and to the fantastic activity providers who brought so much energy to the day! 🤩👏

📢Have your say on new sport welfare campaign!✨

Active Partnerships, are developing a new PR campaign to raise awareness and understanding of the Sport Welfare Officer Network and the role of Sport Welfare Officers.

To help shape this campaign, we’re inviting Club Welfare Officers (CWOs) and key club representatives to take part in two short online sessions.

These sessions will help us understand the best ways to communicate with CWOs and clubs, and ensure the campaign content and resources are relevant, useful and supportive for clubs.

Your insights will help inform the campaign and ensure it reflects the needs of clubs and the important work CWOs do in creating safe, positive environments for everyone taking part in sport.

If you believe local voices should lead local change, we’d love you to consider becoming a Host Organisation!

🌟Become a Host Organisation🌟
We’re inviting community organisations in Burton-upon-Trent and Uttoxeter to host a Community Activator as part of our Place-Based Expansion work in East Staffordshire.

This Sport England funded approach is about systems change but it starts with listening. We want to understand what helps (and gets in the way of) local people being active, and work together to make movement easier and more meaningful.

Community Activators are key to this. They work alongside residents and groups, building trust, gathering insight, and making sure community voices shape local and regional decisions.

As a Host Organisation, you would:
✔ Be a welcoming base
✔ Line-manage the Activator (with full support)
✔ Help influence how physical activity is seen, designed and supported locally

You won’t do this alone, Together Active and the wider partnership will provide training, guidance and ongoing support.

If you’re rooted in your community and want to help shape what comes next, we’d love to hear from you.

Yesterday we went Limitless 💫
5 schools. 60+ Y7–Y9 students with SEND.
A day filled with movement, creativity and belonging and a reminder of why inclusion matters.

Many children and young people with SEND face barriers to being active, from confidence to opportunity, from feeling left out to spaces that don’t fit their needs. Limitless was about changing that.
About showing that when activity is made accessible and welcoming, every young person can move, belong and thrive.

Huge thanks to the brilliant providers and volunteers who joined us, the amazing Together Active team, and especially Charlotte, our Children and Young People’s Officer, who worked tirelessly to make Limitless such a success. 💙

And of course, to every teacher, support staff member and young person who brought the energy, you made it unforgettable!

Because movement should never be a privilege. It should be possible for everyone.

We’re told to take a walk. 🚶‍➡️
Stretch. 🙆
Move more. 🏃

But for many people, that’s not so simple.

Not because they don’t care, but because exclusion locks them out.

Lack of safe spaces. Pain or long-term conditions.
Schedules that don’t allow time.
Systems that weren’t built for real lives.

💚 Movement supports mental health but only when it’s possible, safe, and accessible.

At Together Active, we’re working to change that.
To build movement into the systems that shape our lives into health, workplaces, and communities.

Because movement shouldn’t be a privilege.
And being active to support your mental health should be the norm.

This World Mental Health Day 🧠, we’re standing with everyone for whom movement isn’t simple and fighting every day to make it possible.💙💙
